Don't know if this is the same person you're speaking of in IA or not, but I know Red Alert from here in MD was supposedly sold to someone in IA. I sure will miss that tractor.

They should just leave the Pro and Super classes alone, get rid of the new rule. They will have 2 classes now that will allow colors in. The already popular Lt SS class and the new 540 Lt. Pro Stock class. I know that 540 class is going to grow quickly and be a GN class eventually. I would be surprised if it didn't go GN.

Here is one to throw around. If the past talk about possible JD trademark lawsuits (using JD sheetmetal on your tractor) are anyway possible, is this a means for the JD pulling enthusiast to use the JD power plant under a different skin to avoid this situation with Deere? I am still having a hard time seeing the positive "Big Picture" that could come from this rule. I am starting to lean towards

Hey "Stay Please", that was a very uncalled for post by you. He has good theories and ideas mentioned to support the "Billet" issue whether pertaining to the new NTPA rule or not. If you want to post like that, well......you know the routine but you won't the to post it!

Well said Charlie. I don't agree or disagree with the rule yet. Actually I am shocked they took such a giant leap so quickly. Looks like PPL may get themselves a Champions Tour calibur Diesel SS class in the future.

We have many many photos at our website on the various 2009 event photo pages of Dave. Dave Becker built the tractor himself including the sheetmetal work. He has also done sheetmetal for other pullers, Kris Hoyt's new component Case called "Nut Case" is some of Dave's work (Hood).

Maybe in an area where there are alot of Super Farms. Makes sense for an area to do that I guess though I think 640 cubes should just stay Super Farm. With those rules you just mentioned outside the 4.1 turbo, might as well build a Pro Stock. Out East here (not MD or PA, VA, etc) the 540 with a P and a 4.1 or Unl. with an A would be great at 8,500 lbs. no components.

In PA they did or still have the P-pump and 3x4 charger or A-pump unl. charger. I am unsure if Interstate did that or not in the past.

8,500 lbs. no aluminum rear wheels. Just an example. I dont recall seeing these guys ever have a real bad ride either, but I could be wrong.

Martin's 7710's wont make the weight safely and Link is in the Hospital (I have no details as to why other than it was an agricultural accident). I doubt any East Coast SS/PS tractors will be there except maybe Cory and Yankee. You might get a couple from Rick's USA East series though. I wouldn't count out a East Coast 2WD team or 2 showing up.
