Re: Air Cleaner - 11 years ago
i can say that i tried a "spectre" brand from a big auto parts store,it was advertised as equal to the k&n.upon installing it my wide band o2 sensors showed a change,i doubted the sensors and the tr ran poorly.put k&n back on and everything is good again.by patches - Forum
Re: Air Cleaner - 11 years ago
i use a k and n filter with a k and n prefilter.kinda looks like a sock made from real fine material.it seems to work very good and im very satisfied with it.the size i use was not listed on thier board or literature,so i called and they had one for my app.i have a friend that uses the foam prefilter and it works equally good too.neither one effected my flow numbers, egts,or o2 censors.by patches - Forum

campground vehicle for bg??? - 11 years ago
lookin for ideas for a new campground vehicle..some limits i have are;my tow tr is a craftsman "lawn" mower,it has to be able to fit in a pickup bed with the tr,able to ride two people and three or 4 coolers.i dont mind having to assemble on site, and fabrication is not a problem...last year i was thinking of doing a porch swing that is driven from the axle to swing it while being towed...also anyby patches - Forum

id like to say thank you for taking the time to share all your old videos with the board users.i guess im stuck on the idea that those years were the best years..have you ever seen any tape from earlier pulls than those,id love to see early eighties and late seventies, surely the ntpa has a video library of the big pulls back then??by patches - Forum
Re: IH 407 stroker crank rod to cam clearance - 12 years ago
altho iv never worked on a 407,the idea is the same.clearancing the cam and rod is not unusual.also put a piston in to view, the hf borescopes are nice and less than a hundred, the piston will change the big end rod angle and also the lobe interference as they revolve.by patches - Forum
