If somebody’s looking to give away a set of 20.8 pullers I’d have no problem taking them off your hands.

Curious, i keep searching for you on results pages but nothing comes up lol. Maybe you could back up your claims with some results?? I’d like to see a winning 8500 limited pro that’s not running harts turbos (3x3) As for alcohol I only drink it so idk what works for a turbo on them. Ppl hot farms are not 466ci. Yes all tractors are different but a 3” exhaust is the best fit for the majority. Like

Results, the 3x3 is top dog right now, example would be the 8500 limited pros (big tire hot farms) have a 3x4 turbo limit yet they are almost all running a 3x3 turbo. Even better tho call a turbo builder and ask!

Just as an unbiased look at things (I’m a pro farm puller) BSTP handicapping alcohol tractors limited how many came to play, not allowing specific engine/sheet-metal combinations limited your pool of tractors as well.

A Garrett 101 is a tighter housing then a 110. a 100 is your comparable housing to cross brands.
A 101 Garrett will make more drive psi then a 98 precision.

We have used the ati balancer on several builds with no issue, have also had a 'big name' taper lock and fluid dampener weld to the crank. If your motor is not balanced well it really doesn't matter what you put on the end of the crank you'll have trouble with it.

We unless you already own them turbos I'd get a harts 3x3. I'd even venture to say that a fair valley performance turbo would beat both of them right now. There is very few (if any) top running hot farms that don't use harts turbos here in the Midwest.

I have no experience running .120 lines but I have been advised not to. That being said it should not affect timing a great deal (1-2 degree). Best advice I could give, start out fat on fuel and water and conservative on timing. Without knowing your setup these number could range greatly. Anymore detail would help

If your pumps anything decent (fast delivery) 40* will be to high

A 706 rear end with a 407 in front of it will be really expensive to get light enough.

Then the cubic inch difference will show the more air your moving.

About 36ci lol, performance wise it will depend on the fuel and air. If your running under a 3" turbo then you not going to see much difference between them.

The delivery rate on that p3000 would be much faster than your a pump. The hp number depends on your setup.

Definitely sounds like valve train issues right before it went bang. I think that is to blame for a lot of the catastrophic failures we see today.

Your questions have different answers depending on your setup. He's my general take on things (only experanced with 3" chargers tho)
Big cube motors like slots,
smooth bore turbos will 'lug' better
Not many people building 8 blade wheels. 6 and 7 seems to be the prefer blade counts

Big firestone are out there, I have a set of double cut 10 plys that are 221 1/2". The tires bill smith ran on his high maintenance 6030 (bstp profarm) looked taller then ours. I'd say if you want it to be an 'ag' tire class you shouldn't have a 220" rule, otherwise go with 220" and let pullers run.

No horse in the race here, just thinking.
Everything that Doug has layed out for this makes sense to me except the fact that a Jd tractor should be able to get lighter overall then an Ih because of how much lighter they start out. This would leaving more room for moveable weight, (front end weight) making things equal? It seems to me that this will open a huge can of worms, like it was stated
