This isn't for a hoist but if someone is looking for a nice engine stand that is similar to OTC stands check out Howard Enterprises, go to the bottom left hand corner click on newsletter, then summer 2013 newsletter. There not as heavy as the otc but still a lot heavier than automotive stands, can get diesel adapter plates as well

measure from the center of clutchs out to the stand bolts, then from the back of motor to the stand bolts. now take those measurements to the bell housing and grind till you have those clearances, grind 1/4" more to be on the safe side for enough.

The profarms are making a lot more torque at lower rpm's with the icebox than a limitied pro is which is alot harder on parts than horsepower at high rpms, therefore the bottom end of the motor needs to be well built. And as stated before it needs to be built right from there all the way back

Some are using facebook as a business page instead of paying for a website. Bryce Van Genderen has photos of an aluminum front cover on his page. Looks like a nice piece but will have to call him for pricing.

if you go with a dmax the lly motor (04.5-05) is a good solid motor if the original headgaskets have been changed, upgraded headgaskets were made and fixed the issueis its about $3500-$4000 to have a shop to do it. I did it myself and it was a major undertaking for not being an experienced dmax mechanic. The early 06 are basically the lly motor with better tuning and 6 speed tranny and headgask

Tractor is still in Popular Bluff, Curtis Worley bought it from Kuhns and ran it as a superfarm for a few years and now as a 4.1. Called the Red Revolution.

Cup some dead presidents in your hand, show him your rims and get a estimate. or a range?? Cash talks bs walks.

I am also doing the same thing, same year of truck, lly motor. While the heads are off i am also deleting the whole egr system, installing aftermarkert downpipe, drivers side manifold and the hot side intercooler pipe. All of these items either have to come off or will be easy to get to with the heads off. The stock downpipe and drivers side manifold are extremely pinched killing exhaust flow,

the exhaust side of the turbo has to have more psi to keep the turbo turning hard, as the engine gets a load and the psi of both side start to equal or cross paths the turbo will chirp.

i think hs1066 is leading you in the right direction about the delivery, check pressure after your electric pump, if its not enough tractor will run and die as soon as you start to put a load on it. If you put a cheap chemical type sprayer pump, those will have a solenoid on them to shut off at a certain psi which may not be enough supply for your injection pump.

build now to your budget if you try to save for what you want you will always be saving and never have any fun doing it. Just make sure you build so you can keep progressing up, dont build something for one class and then a couple years down the road have to completely rebuild.
