HAVE SET UP SEVERAL, USING ABOUT 3/16" STEEL BRAKE TUBING, THEN MAKE ABOUT A 3-4" LOOP AND FILL WITH ENGINE OIL.
THEN OIL WILL STOP ANY SOOT FROM PLUGGING UP GAUGES OR PRESSURE SENSORS. EVERY SEASON I BRAKE CLEAN OUT THE LINE AND REFILL WITH CLEAN OIL, NO MORE PLUGGING PROBLEMS.

you do not need to make a longer steering shaft if you mount the helm pump on top of the dash and it is close enough to reach.
hotsmallblock and i have mounted the pump under the dash and needed to lengthen shaft. also the helm pump has a tapered/
keyed shaft with a retainging nut, not splined shaft to fit steering wheel.

I have some governor parts that can cut governor response time in about half, helps to maintain extra couple hundred
rpm goind down the track. will not cause to over rev in rpm limited classes.
example, setting governor for 3000 rpm, tractor will ussually go down the track closer to 25-2600 under load.
where faster governor will hold 2800 ish.

been there and done that !!! 1086 does have larger axle, wider bull gears and the platform make it 1 few hundred
pound heavier than the 1066. also has wet brakes, which are exteremly touchy on the track. I did have a problem
with the wet brakes dragging also. wheel rolled free when tractor was not running, but when idling could not roll
tire when jacked up. disc brakes fixed that. it a

N.E.W. Motorsports experimented with 12,000# , 18 mph, 20.8X42 tires. Let the speed limit even out the cubes /
fuel pump issues. It worked with reasonable success, definently evened out 6030 and the rest. took a little bit for sleds
and driver's to get used to it with out going over 18 mph. it was also 3000 rpm limit.
IH tractors with gears slower than stock 3RD were able to exceed s

jj keller, they sell d.o.t. forms and semi trailer load seals. they have 1/16" cable and plastic tag with serial number
in it. when cable is cut it frays open to prevent reuse. works very well for N.E.W., then we record serial number on the
tech inspection to verify at any time needed. I will try to look up jj keller number and seal part numbers, i need more myself.

measuring fluid going into a cylinder doesn't lie!! several clubs in WI, IL, IN, IA have been using for a few years.
A pump was money and time well spent to eliminate bickering. quick and easy to do for all members at the beginning
of the year and any time motor was torn down., then put a seal on the oil pan. takes about 10-15 minute per tractor.
just another thought on this class, n
