right now the way it sits we will have 4-6 points running, and depending where the event is located 2-5 more added in.
Out of that group in the post before 4-5 of those tractors will be new for 2013 and I am sure wanting to hook the new rides.

That's why he put a 3 bar cage on and put in the heavy. I have talked to him and even he said he wasn't going to be able to keep up with the ingnition advances. He made a good run at it and that was 2011. The alkys didn't just sit on their hands for 2012.
Part of the problem too, is on tracks that are less desirable out of the hole alkys have the ability to pedal it bette

We are building one we hope to get into the LSS class. I would like to weigh 6400 or 6500 just to get more weight on the nose. WIth an extra turbo, injection pump, water it would be nice to put that weight up front like the alkys get to. I am for the weight just for safe ride, not for winning advantage. We would be behind the eight ball from the start, but it would be a fun class to compete

One problem I see running together like the idea stated is if there is 2 separate classes with the lss now and a few v8's, what promoter is going to pay for 2 classes that ultimately look like 1 to everyone sitting in the stands?

I won't disagree only 3 in any class is sad, but 2013 DSS class will look a lot different come June. Region 3/5 will have some great action next summer.
There was a lot of breakage this summer and I am sure other circumstances that just compounded the issue. And unfortunately our lousy planning left one at home as well.
Another plus for 2013 from talking to both RV people and Rockw

I am for floating finish as well. In outlaw country I and a lot of people have become accustomed to it. Fans like it and still puts on a good show.
I grew up through the 80s and 90s of pulling and like pulloffs as the next but also buy the parts too so can see both sides.
Heck back then there used to be pulloffs to decide pulloffs. Today I just don't think it pencils out. Now f

With having to carry an injection pump, maybe one more turbo to maximize power, steel head vs aluminum, and sometimes coolant it would be nice to have a few hundred to put on the nose to compensate for what can't be moved forward but still has to be on board.
I tried to get Bruce to hook the LSS class in Ridgeland for session 2 last year, but what sounded good at 2 am didn't come t

With the ignition advances the alky guys are finding, they are adding more fuel and walking away from any dss guys.
You can even see what LSS alkys have found an edge on fellow alky guys from year to year.
Compound that with the chassis technology we have out there now that can hold and get all of that HP to the ground even at 6200. Then add on top of that the ability to walk it out o

You do realize the outcome of that track if a packer was ran on it all day?
I do agree some classes suffered, but that's been the state fair pull for years. They do the most they can with what they have to work with for a track.
Good to see Sweet Pain get their issue fixed to come back and win it. What is the old saying...."persistence beats resistance".

I think that GM warranty on the injectors was 200k miles or 7 years, which ever came first. There isn't any warranty left for an LB7 original injector. And that warranty was like pulling teeth for some GM owners.

My opinion is you can't go wrong motor wise with a dmax or cummins for work.
If you are getting an auto trans for work get the dmax (06-07 classic preferably)
The cabs I think are nicer and quieter on the dmaxs
You will spend more for a dmax same year, miles, options, and condition.
BUT if you want to have some easy fun with hooking it to a sled the cummins can do more with les

I don't doubt they have an understanding, I was just confused as I thought it was Ulmers to lose after Hinton and didn't know the ruling.
It does seem though not enough reward for the pullers there compared to a puller that doesn't hook or show. For instance this ruling in a 22-25 tractor super farm class means more of a penalty than in a 9 tractor dss class.
