I not paying the price for a ticket at the NFMS to watch a hotfarm. We go to see the best of the best of equipment from all over. It pi??es me off when they bring a new tractor in to pull that's not been any where to prove itself.

I recommended to the committee do away with the Saturday big pros and replace it with a 4.1 class. I like to watch the big pros but 2 classes of them are enough. If you don't bring in 4.1's then bring in a Mod truck class.

I have facebook but still prefer to watch it on utube. He made the smoothest pass of any alky supers that night and that's what wins pulls, not the back pocket although it does help.

I know I have one of those tractors but it is still different that the rules we use to pull by and I acturally believe the old way was better and more even. I know it was a lot cheaper then and we did farm with the tractor we pulled, but not today the tractor we'll running today that everyone calls farm stock wouldn't make a 1/4 mile pass pulling a plow or a disc without getting hot.

Back in the 70's/80's we use to have farm stock classes here in Missouri that were a dyno class and I don't remember the rpm's deal but the HP was a set HP for the class and that was what it was with NO tolerances. It was a good class of farm tractors. We didn't do mph because it wasn't necessary. I remember the 8000 stock class had a 85HP and the 6000 lb class was 6

"HEY FARMALL PULLER" I probably been pulling longer than your ever be and as far as building something I can't control I'm smart enough to control a piece of pulling equipment without someone telling me I have to have some movable weight to maybe help control it. Oh yeh as far as the whining thing sounds like something you must do. How does asking about the 200 lbs of movable weight rul

Ok I guess I'm not so bright kinda need some clarification on "Controls for the driver will not be the same as for the sled". Does this mean we can't use the same air shutoff or the same cable or what is this saying? Would someone with knowledge of this please explain this part of the rule.

Thanks Doug for coming on and giving everyone a short course on the subject. Your explaination helps and as I said "A hitch is a hitch is a hitch it's not that simple" you explained it a lot better than I could have and as you see I didn't even attempt to.

I have a observation/question that I have never understood. Why do you/we think/believe that you have to have a "200 lb movable weight rule"? Trying to act like NTPA or something? I've never run a class or association that has had that rule looks to me like if you can weigh it you should be able to pull in it. If it's a safety issue then what safety are we trying to help?

I'm not sure because we don't have turbo limits but I've heard others on here that say they do. Ok anyone know how this seal thing can work?

SHR4010 thanks for the correction. Here in Missouri there are several Associations that are running the classes that micky mentioned and they are working fairly well. If there is a goof up made in it the class here in Missouri it was not placing a turbo limit on the class and that is something that you all are addressing and that should help hold cost down in the class. The weight is to heavy in

Jim I can tell you there is something to how a drawbar is put under a tractor as to how a tractor responses to the hitch height. I not going to elabrorate but I firgued it out years ago. A hitch is a hitch is a hitch it's not that simple. I've said to much so I be quiet now. Maybe sometime I see you I'll give you my take on the subject.

I get 250 out of my 1256 with the old stock charger and punching the fuel some. Use to run a 1206 at 225 with just the fuel punched up some and they were 361's and the 1256 is a 407. I would think 250 should be easy. I would think with a 3lm and a 450 head you should get 400 easy enough.

Is this a suicide/murder class with not requiring any safety equipment. Sound like a group here at home. Remember the places they are pulling and stay away for your own safety if you understand what I'm saying.

You know I could and have been wrong before but in this case I'm pretty sure you normally are going to get what you pay for if you deal with a reputable outfit. I don't think I even want to run that wheel in my bone stock farm tractor or truck unless it just doesn't matter.

Sound and looks like a good start up class. Why are we penalizing the 361 engine over one ci in on RPM's? I would think that rule should include the 361 motor.
