Bowling Green--a great show-- - 14 years ago
The show at Bowling Green was one of the best pulls I have attended in a long time. The number of vehicles that were there did not seem to be down any. The sled settings were right one session after session. The competition director used the floating finish line when needed and used the 310-320 rule in the rest of the classes. The announcing was first rate this year, there seemed to be several anby Dick Morgan - Forum

Harold, As always great job. I don't think there are many people out there that do any better job than Harold on tractor pulling photo's. Crystal clear and a real feeling of the action. Thanks for the pictures, looking forward to seeing more as the season goes on. Are you scheduled to do any PPL or NTPA hooks the summer? .by Dick Morgan - Forum

The July "Puller"- a pleasant surpise - 14 years ago
Just got my “Puller” magazine in the mail and I found it a bit unusual. There was no puller profiles/interviews, rather there were several articles that I found very interesting. The theme for the magazine is the NTPA’s 40th anniversary. The first was by Gregg R. about the “Top 10 On-track Influences on the sport of pulling”, “A look back at 40 years of the NTPA. The second article was readerby Dick Morgan - Forum

Re: ESP Dansville Results - 14 years ago
Jake and I went to the pull in Dansville and watched the 5 classes that ESP sanctions. Richard Love provided the sled and the settings and sled performance were top notch. In the TWD class Al VanOstrand on “Cowboy Cadillac” took the win with Don Ramey being just a foot off the pace. A real nice win for Al. The SF class saw the Zorn Brothers make two really strong passes and take the win oveby Dick Morgan - Forum

Ha JR; It was good seeing you and Bonnie, I really liked those Lucas/East Coast/Eastern Extreme shirts, very professional. How come an ugly guy like you get to go to pulls with such a nice women? Me, I get to go to pulls with Jake. I guess it could be worse Henry get’s to go to pulls with H. David Jr. or is it the other way around? A couple more trips to New York and you may get rid of that “doby Dick Morgan - Forum
Re: My Question--Who are the top five drivers in the sport? - 14 years ago
Active; Adam Koester; The kids a natural athlete. Great reflexes and seems to anticipate just what the mini is going to do. Mark Peissig; One of the harder classes to drive in, smooth behind the wheel. More likely it's really the chassis and not the driver! Joe Eder; I think Joe is the most versatile driver today. Put Joe on any vehicle and he always seems to find the winners cirby Dick Morgan - Forum

I’m sorry that some people feel that Jake has held the page “hostage” in trying to raise awareness for his ride. I also feel sorry for the person that feels we are stealing the money. Mt Opinion- The 2009 PPL class winners - 14 years ago
I am going to make my predictions for the 2009 PPL “Lucas Oil Champion Tour”. Super Modified 2WD Trucks, with such a great field as this is it’s very hard to make a prediction in this class. However it looks to me that this will be a dog fight with 3 or 4 real strong teams. The Nelson family looks real strong with their super clean TWD’s. Stan Shelton can not be ruled out and Jacks Motorsportsby Dick Morgan - Forum
Re: cover your ears pro stock fans - 14 years ago
Why would dropping the weight increase the risk of an accident? I don't believe that lowing the weight to 8500 or 9000 lbs makes these tractors any more dangerous that the DSS or the Open SS or the Light Super that all make as much, if not more power than the PS's and weigh less that 9000 lbs..by Dick Morgan - Forum
My Opinion- My 09 NTPA class winner predictions. - 14 years ago
I’m going to make my 2009 NTPA predictions for each GN class; Unlimited Mods, It’s pretty hard to look past Bill Voreis as your class winner again for 09. Bill seems to be in a class by himself, Bill drives the tractor hard and his motor program is second to none. If this was the second year for the “Funny Farmal” I might give Ken Veney the nod, however in this class Bill V. doesn’t give anyby Dick Morgan - Forum
Re: cover your ears pro stock fans - 14 years ago
I think lowering the weight in the PS class would be very interesting. I'm not sure that it would hurt the show any. I know Brian Shramek ran one of his Pro Stocks in the DSS class last year and I believe he has one in the class again this. When Jake and I talked with his at Bowling Green he was thinking about running the 24.5 and see how they would do in the class. I think any time you loweby Dick Morgan - Forum
