equal displacement cylinder, use an hyd. motor under the steering wheel, tee in a seal able reservoir into both sides of motor, keep adding oil on both sides until reservoirs stay full, then seal up! now have a closed system!

I hear that you can run the genesis head on the 401 with an laminated steel head gasket from an tm115? just need some silicone in a few spots to keep the antifreeze out of the oil! said to be quite reliable?

if you are referring to my post...well you would use only two leads from each mag. say 1 and 3, now you time all 3 mags so that each spark is a 120 deg. apart. may kill a tree or 2 until you get it figured out on paper though? then you run the whole mess at the same speed as your typical ignition! never thought I would have think this hair brain idea out? am sure there must be easier ways?

how about take 3 of my old 4 cly. aircraft bendix mags.. only use opposite terminals on each, time them to all run in succession, and get em running at the correct ratio to the engine! looks simple to me? at least for a 6 cly.? may have connect some sparks to the extra terminals to save the internal points from burning off?

went from 20.8 38 0n 23" w light steel rims to 24.5 32 10 ply single cuts on whipstation wheels, if I remember right, the new wheels weighed about 360# each while the old ones dead ended the scales at 500# was able to carry2 and sometimes 3 more weights depending on the scale at trackside used that day and still be well under weight

can see a means of cooling incoming fuel will help, considering the amount of excess heat the bypass fuel from the pump brings back to the tank, a pump pushing way more volumne and pressure then designed for can create an incredible amount of heat in a short time! over sizing your supply pump, rather then being undersized will help your injection pump live! just my .02 worth?

every thing depends on how far apart the top and bottom tubes are, how many places along the length you tie it into the bell housing,engine,etc.etc. using 1.75 tube for the the diagonals will add up in weight quite quickly. have seen frames with a multi hole flat plate at the front and back stations of the engine-you have to attach there any ways! you may as well do what most "inventors" do, look

Most stock spider gears in older differentials were basically running metal on metal with the pinion shaft, My tractor got to the point, it would send all power to either one back wheel or the other! many rack and pinions perished until I finally knocked the front wheels right off! the gears were eating right into the shaft. the later blue ones had needled spider gears installed from new, I only

I have witnessed this personally! confuse the heck out of the crowd! huge time waster too! seen one fellow travel over 2 hours to limp on the track, bump then shut down and get pulled off just to get last place points! I like the idea of allowing a mulligan, eg. if there is 20 events in the season, then you only count your best 19 just a thought

The SFI 47.1 spec suggests .120 wall for dom, and .095 for 4130 cm, so some weight can be saved, I personally don't think the extra cost is worth it! as for welding, you can have a beautiful weld or a terrible weld using either gas, tig or mig. have seen landing gear on an aircraft stick welded! all depends on your abilities? have torch welded light wall cm as small as .023 and then continu

Well "do it" it's like this many fair boards decide to go with a more organized show because of your "local good old boys" general bad behavior! much easier to have a standard set of rules published well in advance, being it helps remove the BS on pull day,the insurance cost generally drops for the fair board because a known rule book is followed. And when the contract is signed, the promoter

our group has decided to either have your engine measured-head off or pumped head on, just acquiring said pump measurement device has caused some strange behavior among some? pan is then sealed through 2 bolts! It is somewhat of a hassle to get done with the distance between some pullers shop though! you are right that it used to be fun!

Lexan is interesting stuff, you can bend it pretty much by any means, even in a metal brake, drill holes with little fear of cracking.....but spill fuel on it and it will craze and crack quicker then you could ever imagine! acrylic meanwhile needs a way to soften it(heat) before you attempt to form it! step drills work well for drilling acrylic and fuel does not affect it as easily!

agree on using volumne to cool the pump! my fuel tank is quite warm after a run,use 14an to the pump and 10an to the injection pump, then back to the tank, pusher pump is gear driven on the engine with spray regulator returning excess to tank!
