If i am not mistaken all the bolt holes are in the same location, only the ports are shaped differently between the two. your 9600 head bolts will be 1/2" while the genises will have 9/16" bolts, may need special alignment dowels on the corners, not sure which head gasket works best for sealing the water jacket holes-I use the tm-120 head gasket with strategically placed high temp silicone. your in

If your draw bar is supported at the pto housing, it don't matter where you attach the front end, support point is where weight bears down on , plus min. distance of draw bar is 18" Now if you allowed the draw bar to pivot from the front mount thus aligning the bar from pivot point to the sled you will indeed put more pull on the front of the tractor but again you lose your 20" hitch height a

OK. if you are referring to the crankcase vent, yes by all means an extra vent or two can,t hurt! I suspect that most people my self included , figured your first question had to be air filter related? again your original air filter would unduly restrict airflow at higher RPMS. might replace it with an good cloth type filter such as K.N or others.Or you could just remove it entirely !have a good

Second pump did even out temps from front to back-back cylinders did not tighten up as much as before the extra flow was instituted , My water temps. will go from 160 to 220 on a cool night and 240+ on a warm night,so I agree that cooling during your run is minimal at best!

valves and flow-genesis exhaust valve same size as 401 intake, intake valve is that much larger!but if you want bigger injectors then drill injector bore from 7mm to 9mm.

I found you can make a big difference in cooling by feeding coolant into the back end of the motor through a frost plug hole.I used a electric pump from Agchem called tiger pump, gives the rest of the motor a fighting chance at proper cooling during the short full power run down the track! Also you can leave the pump and fan running, shut down the motor and still cool it down evenly between runs.

if you use the 456 with the 6 bolt flywheel then you can use your original 8000 flywheel too, now if you are using your 8000 front end,you will either have to space it forward to clear the oil pan or modify it by switching from the steering gearbox to a hyd. cylinder on the axle, etc. good luck!

this may seen silly but did you make sure your gauge isn't faulty, try another gauge or at least check the calibration against a known good gauge, good luck!

Depends on what room you have for filters but two 6"x12" k,n filters should give you lots of flow, stay away from paper filters-just a bit of dirt and moisture will reduce their flow substantially. filtering the air will go a long way towards saving your pistons and bores!

I can't think of a better example of the extra back pressure put on a turbo just by simply adding more pipe, always wondered if the tractor would do better if they put a smoke pipe on that was at least 2" or even 4" larger then the pipe on the tractor? wish I was there, sounds like it was a great show!

The genesis head gives you bigger valves then the 401 head, don't know about the truck head-yet to get my hands on one to compare with! my$.02 worth.

I have also tried various ways to access the site including a google search, every thing from 404 error to buy this address now offers! Maybe they didn't pay their monthly web access fee or this is their way of telling you that you just have to be there personally and pay your money at the gate like every one else? Sounds a bit greedy to me but cutting off web access sure does limit attention

Lets say you are just having one heck of a run down the track but then suddenly that weld on hub breaks clean off the axle,no problem I will just jump off but oh crap-dam seat belt! Not something that the crowd should ever have to witness! I will admit to having a biased opinion on this topic being we have equipped all our farm tractors with ROPS and oh ya can't forget my two months in hosp

no offense but I just finished watching a video of last years nfms pull, couldn't help but notice that virtually every SF would run out of power rather then spin out except for maybe one deer! now watching on video is not anyways near the same as being there ,seemed to me they would all stop in the same general area. the light supers can sure turn on and at the same time offer a show with ma

My experience has been any more then say 40 psi might cause the fuel to find an easier route eg. straight to the oil pan-just my luck anyways! Make your feed lines as big as possible thus requiring less pressure to move the same volume, stay away from hydraulic fittings because they can really restrict your flow. just my 2 cents others may differ?

We have a 7710 with the synchro trans ,yes it does shift easier but you must use the clutch on every shift, I prefer my other fords with the standard shift-only use the clutch to get moving then shift on the fly with out clutching!

I have also been told of a last generation IH prototype that is somewhere south of london , ontario, Can. one of two fitted with an CVT trans put out on a farm for testing, farmer liked it so much that he refused to give it up when Case and IH merged into one. apparently the tractor company ownership failed to see the merits of this transmission so they gave it Fendt! now this might be more of a

I don,t think the companies have a real problem with pulling, It's just that if you expect them to support you then you will have to approach pulling as a business more then just a hobby, start by developing a first rate promotion package that you can sell to the company, that will give them genuine value for their investment! You will have to except orders from them in regards to where you

i suspect it's just blatant marketing, considering how much profit is built into the business of precision? farming equipment you would want to remind the buying public as much as possible that you sell the technology , or it maybe it just didn't work very well so instead of throwing the dang thing out let's put er up on the cage and see what silly comments appear on internet forum

I would assume your slots or keyway would be done just as normal key ways by using an broaching kit, same as key waying a hub or sprocket,a good machine shop should be able to do this for you.

That's a tough question? the usual mantra for making horsepower is increase the rpm or the cubic in. if 401 is your limit then maybe get your pump pushed up to say 600cc or so (wimers) in NY. state may be able to help you with that. All said at 3000 rpm, no water- maybe between 300-400hp? or I might be wildly optimistic on that one next question. Jim
