Depends on how much of the 9000 you want to use, build a tube style front end, replace column and front nose with fiberglass or steel, cut off PTO housing, shorten axles and weld on hubs, use pressed steel or aluminum rims, and depends on weight of tires I would say 6500# is easily attainable .must say that it would be a crap load of work but not impossible! good luck.

well if you like wild rides then you don't want to needle your diff. but seriously your average ag. rear end was never meant to be turned at that speed or hp. level for that matter ! After nearly busting my front end off twice I decided to look at the diff. well the spider gears were doing there best to chew off the ends of the pinion shaft. after installing new gears and shaft with needle b

If you run an alternator, have a AC tap put in it and run a tach from that lead, still have to calibrate it though, just a thought.

Depends greatly on what type of tracks you pull on -if you run good quality clay tracks then cut tires are the only way,you will have less problems with tire hop.now if you are on a track like I was on last night you might as well have full lug radials, kinda felt like I should have been pulling a seed drill being how loose and rough it was out there!hard to say if you could go up a gear- have see

I have not asked or received any preferential treatment from any oil company rep so I will run whatever oil I can get at the best price dropped on my shop floor, maybe a certain oil company sponsors pulling elsewhere but I doubt that is very wide spread? just my .02 now fire away!

I would agree with you about paying big money only to see cenpeco shower the big guys with trinkets and gifts! it would make me feel like I was a lower caste puller also. Now I run either kendal or right now esso because thats whats in the barrel in my shop at the moment. I have been adding IXL additives right from the start with great success, just replaced the rod bearings after running em for t

I just have .100 taken off the top of the pistons, run the pistons a little loose and give er heck! this is on a stock stroke 401 ci. ford diesel, some one else may want to attempt the math on this one? good luck!

it's fairly safe to say that pulling is purely a hobby for most of us and as one fella said to me once, if you have to justify it then its not a hobby ! any prize money is just a bonus. Now as I prepare to drop my oil pan while praying that elusive squeak heard while starting is just the oil pump, I wonder what truly drives me to continue this pulling madness year after year? good luck eve

i inject on front of turbo and individual ports in each intake pipe,so far compressor wheel shows no adverse effects. once saw a tractor with port injection only blow off his water line, luck would have it, the broken hose fired enough at the turbo to prevent him from cooking his pistons.

I believe the 90-06 rear is more or less the same as the 10-06 but I think the tranny is splash lubricated so you can simply remove all the hydraulics of the top if so desired, am sure others will have more info then me, good luck!

you could use a good quality paint remover that is approved for aluminum, Aircraft Spruce and Speciality company sells one said to be able to remove just about any type of paint ,epoxies included! You may still have to polish the first layer of aluminum off to get rid of all traces of paint colour , either way what ever you decide to do, it will be a lot of work! good luck!

You could try gluing mounting brackets with T88 epoxy glue ,that stuff will pretty much stick to any thing even through dirt and oil. the only issue may be the strength of your fibreglass in regards to delamination of the surface layer, you could improve the bond with some good quality rivets as a back up. good luck!
