I do agree that the mobile experience leaves a lot to be desired. The no-zoom android thing affects me, too.

In other motorsports, maybe.
Let's take your thought though. What should the spec from contact patch to ski be? What size tire width? What sidewall height? What air pressure in it? What ratio of rim to tire width since that also affects it's compression rate? What if I have front suspension? Spring rate mandated? Shock bound and rebound rate mandated? When and where does i

Har har. Went 368 as test, sled changed and came back at the end on a very hot evening to go fourth. Not bad for being essentially the second and third runs for it.

They do not, but the application for them has them waste-gating above roughly 35lbs of pressure. The turbos are big, but that is about volume of air mass passed. They keep them really low in the duty cycle vs what a diesel will do. Failures are rare as a result. The import guys push them much harder into the 60+ range and do have failures, but again no rule so far as I am aware. For Outlaw D

First post was the FPP change. Second is NTPA which went to 1/2" a couple of years ago. Also, NTPA clarified the change this morning with new info.

True and many are sleeved down to a 6.2 or 6.4 in trucks, which are both still too much, but custom sleeves and pistons are made every day. It's not the easiest to get them swapped to 12v though.

Can't run 6.7 on alky, it'd be over the 370ci limit. 5.9 with a .060 over piston and stock stroke puts you right at 370.

Thanks for the kind words. I want to be accurate if I can be. Disagreements can be fun because it keeps us thinking and talking about something we love. There's no need to be nasty about it. Please say hello if our paths cross!

Had to fact check myself and you are right about Fendt not using JD engines. They did use AGCO engines. Which means Detroit Series 40. Which was a... IH block base. So yay Lance Micek!
I used to care. I really did. But I want reliable, fixable, plenty of aftermarket support so a guy doesn't go down for months or years waiting. The time has come at the top levels for aftermarket po

Huh... That's strange. Might've been a glitch in the matrix. This one is running so I just removed it to keep the conversation all in one place. Thanks for pointing that out.

Totally understand the perspective, but to Jeremy's point why not the same feelings about any of the truck classes.
Side point: Claas and Fendt tractors had JD engines. Those 2 are not crossdressers.

I would agree with a lot of that. One other thing I would ad is, pulling has this absolute terror about nitrous oxide. I have seen what blue bottles can do over on the drag racing side for diesels. Paired with common rail fuel delivery and standalone management, the clean-burning power scale is simply astonishing and not even fully understood yet. Straight up learning curves are being probed

For the last few years, no prep drag racing has been The. Freaking. Jam. Why? Huge personalities are a part of it, but lets leave that component off the table. It makes hauling ass look difficult. They have to actually drive and/or set up for conditions. Bring it back to pulling. A killer power track is sorta boring to watch. It doesn't appear to be difficult. There isn't as m

No one wants to hear this, but there is a sure fire way to fix this issue: MAKE THE TRACK SUCK!!! 280 feet in a cloud of dust and this conversation doesn't happen. I will say that dust flying absolutely DOES present an image of power on camera and in person. I would encourage pullers further to letter their tires or put a stripe on like they used to in pulling and drag racing in the 90s.

I'm with Andy and Aaron on this subject which has clearly grown far beyond what engine is under the hood. Sure, there's a ceiling to it, but so what? Not trying to be the NFL. Am trying to be a place where
