You'd have to have someone check it right as they got ready to pull on the track. Air it up in the shade of the trailer then pull it out in the sun will make a drastic difference in air pressure.

That is letting them run. It looks like a perfect sled setting to me. No need to go any further.

The talk around the infield was why didn't one of the flaggers red flag it when they noticed the box was not moving?
In the videos I've seen circulating they did but apparently nobody saw them.

Smart business is PPL was sold before the announcement last night. Now its a wait game to see who ends up with them
Without Lucas Oil PPL has little to no value. NTPA purses just collapsed as a result. National level pulling is on it's last leg
There is already a new owner. They knew it was going to happen, shopped it, and found a buyer. Will be announced tomor

At some point you've just got to enforce the rule. If you accept the Mitas what happens with the next tire that's just a little out of spec? I do think it would be a good idea for the tire manufacturers to submit one to be checked and prevent this from happening. Or if I were Mears or Epperson maybe reach out to the manufacturers and suggest some checking be done before too many get out

Attention Competitors
Effective Immediately, 11/14/2022, the current version of the Mitas 24.5 x 32 does not meet the specifications in the NTPA Rulebook, therefore they will not be legal for competition in the 2023 pulling season. Until a new version is presented for approval to the WPI Executive Board and NTPA Technical Services, this ruling is in effect with no ex

Didn't someone have a Pro Stock class like this a year or two ago that was basically the same way? Huge money for first and pennies for the rest? For those with a better memory than me how did that go?

Because there is no power in a super farmer. they snuff them out ALL the TIME!!!
No they don't. Not even close. Years ago yes, but as someone who sees them pull all the time due to the area I'm in I can tell you they rarely ever snuff out anymore.

Gonna fight weather in the spring or fall, have to fight planting and harvest, in the spring everyone is still waiting on parts in the fall they're broke. Summer is pretty well all full up. Got to just pick your poison and hope for the best.

There are 4.1 limited pros making 2700 with no billet head or sigma pump and with a lot smaller turbo. So add all that and horsepower goes up dramatically.

Never said it did, I just stated my feelings. Numerous others on here have stated the same thing also. I don't think it would be "awful" for those that couldn't see them either. No worse than those of us that have more than had our fill of them by the end of the week. I just feel like there's enough other good classes or numbers of equipment in some of the already existing classes

my personal opinion is to cut the pro stocks down to 3 sessions. by doing this they could run another class.
I've been begging for this for years. I don't want to see 4 sessions of anything.

Yes the buyer would unless Boyds made it a condition of the sale that they get to run it at the farm show. It is the truck/tractor that gets admitted not the driver.

Dick , I agree with you it Has to be a 2 Engine Class! I have ran a single engine tractor and a twin engine tractor. Daylight and dark in comparison. You have to have a bout the same horsepower in this class as what the light super class is so you’re talking about 3000 -3500 hp .
Going to need more than 3500 HP to be competitive in Light super. That would have you several hundred o

The two scales you weighed on were probably identical which means any standard set of rules won't help. Being moved constantly, bumped into, and plugged into inconsistent power supplies makes them have a mind of their own unfortunately.

I forget the exact numbers but our local fair grosses around $190k from it and only clears about $10k. That money is used on upkeep and expenses and a lot of it got spent before the virus hit. Of that $10k not much is left to put away once necessary things are done. I agree with ok2nv that some of these shows/fairs that were struggling have now had the habit of doing it broken and a lot of people

I know it's being discussed by the big orgs. Even if it gets better now the problem we may have is continued limitations on large gatherings due to a fear the virus could flare back up in the fall similar to the flu. Time will tell. I think right now our best case scenario would be getting the season going by the first of July and I'm not sure how realistic that is.
