This actually is a good combination as long as the head is pretty much stock port and valve size. Yes it will lower your compression to approximately 14:1or 15:1 and may take a squirt of ether to start. To utilize the combo fully, you will need another cam other than stock. Drilling the head to accept the injectors isn't a big deal.

Anything over 800hp, your wasting your time and money. Trust me, we tried everything and spoke to everyone. The 4 disk wet setup last a half season. Get yourself a 4020 bell houseing and put a 3 or 4 disk dry setup in it. Pretty simple and straight forward on a 4430

Dick, thats the problem as Ace did not give his opinion of what happened and what us pullers could do or look at to prevent this from happening in the future. To me this has nothing to do with "trade secrets" or the performance edge, this has to do with the safety of the pullers, fans, and officials. A true businessman and enthusiast would make every attempt to keep everyone safe and grow the spo

I am not familar with fonda's board but when searched for, I come across this interesting article I posted below which solidifies my above statement of everyone being a registered user with their name and info pinned to every post and then you could cut down on the non sense mentioned below. The term "keyboard puller" to me comes from someone that hides behind a keyboard with a fake or no ac

I personally think it should be changed on this site to anytime you post something on this forum that its mandatory to have your name and info beside it. Then we would see who has the actual guts to pin their name to their rants, opinions, and accusations! Just my 2 pennies!!

The person that hit thumbs down on my post and probably said "stupid idea" is probably the same person that fumbles around trying to start their gummed up/fouled out leaf bower after they reset the sled and their tractors burning down........

Yes it will fit and your valves will be very close to the valve reliefs (the outer edge of the relief)
Make sure you check your pistin to valve clearance

We are just now releasing our direct bolt on, high torque, gear reduction starter for the IH tractors. They will fit a completely stock tractor clear to a full pulling tractor. They have a clockable mount that you can move the solenoid/motor to the position that best fits your needs. They also weigh in at very light 16.4 lb compared to the factory 53lb. At $595 they are pricey because of the time

To use wilwood masters and pedals with factory brakes, many people will tell you to change the O-rings on the brake shoes to run regular dot 3 brake fluid. I chose to gamble by not changing the orings and they worked better than my current external brakes. Also make sure you can get your bleeders cracked loose towards the top of your axle housings and the other ones towards the front of the housi

The proper question or answer is not being said here......"how much money does it take" or "how much horsepower does it take". When the real question to be asked is ...."how much knowledge does it take" What I mean by that is the knowledge to know what base to start with, the knowledge of where to source the parts for a fair price, the knowledge of what parts to buy (sometimes it's not alway

There you have it in black-and-white full pull productions has a tractor from every set of rules as proof Don’t be scared of the 600 in hot farm tractors you don’t need NTPA to make a class in Ohio or OSTPA there is a place to pull your tractor in Ohio and Pennsylvania Already in place and probably more hooks then the other organizations and definitely less cost to pull and be a member

How many pullers wanting this NTPA hot farm in Ohio are anxious to pay 700 to 1000 dollarsa season registration to drive during the week to pull and maybe only get a few hooks In response to your question the problem here in eastern Ohio is every association has monster cid limits. 510 seems more reasonable. Lets face it if I’m building a super farm engine why put a smaller turbo

That's pretty cheap when otherwise you would have to build and freshin a 600ci motor that originally started as a 466/404ci
