call Klint tucker and ask him how well that worked in Illinois in the winter. I can understand the frustration with the announcing. My biggest peeve is to announce continually which tractor is next and never look to the starting line to only see something that isn't on the sheet happening. Look while announcing simplest rule in the barnyard.

I don't think making someone learn to drive is a regression of anything. The whole reason for pulling the way it is set up is being removed by this type of device. Heck why learn to drive or alter a setup for the condition of the track when a little box will take care of 85 percent.

part of the allure of pulling is no practice and you have to set up your vehicle for the track this eliminates(alters) this variable. I hope it never becomes the norm although I am certain there are those that will try it no matter the risk because of the reward.

your history isn't very strong before he got into the alky supers, chizek had a pro stock Ih ran well but nothing like the alky supers. I think it would be better for the class if each tractor had a driver. There are multiple tractor teams throughout the country but most all have multiple drivers, but Mark does a great job putting one from the start t o the winners circle.

can't comment stick it in your ear, I have really liked the idea of the light pro more than the limited class, but to think there don't need to be adjustments or suggestions even borders on myopathy. Differences of opinion are a part of any activity, I don't pull in this class but have considered a vehicle. So with that being stated if I want to comment I will whether or not some

okay if you are a per hook puller and have never had a cage inspection; that alone is 175 I think been awhile for me, I don't think there is a clutch fee now but it used to be 50. Then you have the one day membership somewhere around 100 plus the hook fee 1% of the purse , don't forget if you need crew in the hot pit area that is another 100 per day, I could see 500, if pulling more th

it was okay but everyone wants to sit in the top spot, well there is only one top spot per event; so somebody has to finish on down the line and when that became unacceptable is when this one wanted that and the other one wants this. I always just wanted to have a little fun with a competition but that has gotten thrown way out of whack.

I think your on the right track for the short term, the 34 with a good cut could be the difference maker you r seeking. Don't know what rear you r using but
34's sometimes make the gears just right.

Oh my, I don't have a problem with rule enforcement but making new rules during the pull is a problem. There are fuel test procedures outlined and if they were followed and someone is found illegal; give'em the boot. Making up procedures that are not listed or even stated in a rule book is not only bad business but gets you drawn into walking stick territory.

These are what I am talking about, would anyone know someone who has them or copies and would help a feller out. I have seen or read most of what I have talked about but a house fire resulted in most all of these mementos being gone and I would like to have a copy.

Over the years there have been several media broadcasts about tractor or truck pulling, I was wondering if anyone has these on tape or knows where one might obtain some of them. I don't know all of them but can remember a tnn segment on Tim Engler many years ago and also a couple of good morning America segments and if memory serves there was one on Cbs but I was a mere child at that time.

Some people are so concerned with progress and innovation they forget where they are. The rear and chassis is the limiting factor without some limitation all u have is another pro stock class or a non optimum super stock. I will never understand why folks think there should never be a limit. Every class has a limit of some kind, so if you are making more power than your chassis can handle maybe b

why not use a 1030 rear, I know where two of those are as well as two 2090's with the 8 speed. The 1175 is an option but you have the big planetarys to deal with on those. There are a couple of them nearby. Let me know will give a price on any or all.

moo, it greatly depends on the wt of the class and the horse available to all the competitors, the lighter class that I pulled in the wt makes a distinct difference and the heavier you go the less it changes the tractor. Todd spoke of the mod class so we will use that 1000 really cause havoc but if you are within 400 I don't think it would alter the results as much because of the percentage

well ain't that interesting, as for the lt pro at the farm show it broke the axle not the hub, the welded on hub was still in tact; I don't know enough about metal to know if welding the hub on weakened the axle but the axle is what broke and it wasn't a shotgunned axle.
