Re: Gordyville thoughts - 13 years ago
Discounting the quality of their ability to perform or believing that there is a lack of technology in the N/A and antique classes is foolish. I've talked to too many antique and N/A pullers in the last year to believe anything different. Theres a wealth of antique and N/A guys out there with as much billet swinging in their crankcases as any high horsepower class. I agree with George andby Bryan Lively - Forum

From where I sat, the event ran pretty well. It was my first time there and to be completely honest I expected to walk into a barn with all dirt floors and bleachers thrown in from the comments made on here in the past, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a well lit building with lots of concrete and good seating for fans. It stayed comfortable in the building the whole time, even with someby Bryan Lively - Forum

Mr MF180: I was commenting on the ENTIRE show, from Friday evening's first hook to the last 9500 Hot/Pro Farm Saturday night. The show went super smooth I thought until the snafu with the smoke tube power unit. YES, there was a delay. Happens a lot, indoors or outdoors, and I don't hold a speck of ill will to anyone about it. Stuff can and will happen, and it always happens at tby Bryan Lively - Forum

Southern Motorsports Friday Night - 13 years ago
Really good show tonight, good crowd also. Here's a couple highlights from tonight. Todd Maedge and the Monkey Mayhem took a nice little ride, stayed right side up even though the pics look pretty spooky... Probably be some video of it up soon, lots of cameras there. Will post photos of everything I shot tomorrow night.by Bryan Lively - Forum

I also forgot to plug the Indy Super Pull set I have. Neat seeing Esdon, Danny Dean, and Bret Berg among a BUNCH of others duking it out in Indianapolis. They are really nice to have when Kentucky looks more like somewhere far north of here and the natives display their winter driving skills and Im including myself in that conversation. 5 inches of snow here, first significant white Christmaby Bryan Lively - Forum

Somewhere in Maryland a head is swelling lol. Its Jerry Richardson of Eastern Extreme. I have most of them and if they had been on VHS I would be on my second set. I also recommend the Buck videos from late seventies...there is a pass on there by Dave Stangle and Solid Junk that is amazing, foretells the future in a way. Thanks Chris. I had a friend take them for me for the The HOOK, she is getting better at it every time she goes out. I was in Springfield MO at an NATPA event during the BOB show, so the only thing I can take credit for is having friends with great photography skills! Merry Christmas!by Bryan Lively - Forum

Very deceiving sound, especially since a 2 stroke has double the power/combustion phases in the same number of crankshaft rotations as a 4 stroke. Fun to listen to, would need to keep ear plugs handy farming with one.by Bryan Lively - Forum
Re: My Opinion--It's all about time---Solution #3! - 13 years ago
JR it is a 2 way street. Which is worse, getting a class that you may not have wanted necessarily but with 10 plus entrants that put on a good show versus a class you want and less than 5 show up. I understand where youre coming from; I would think thin class numbers would make a promoter turn away and find other options though. "Special recognition" is also a form of capitalism in this situaby Bryan Lively - Forum
Re: My Opinion--It's all about time---Solution #3! - 13 years ago
Here's another thought....Sounds like everyone has their thinking cap on looking out for the good of the sport. Perhaps a "draft" should be in order, and what I mean by draft is just like an NBA/NFL/MLB draft, only the classes are the "players." Example, and this would work in the PPL model as well: In the NTPA product at the national level, we have the Super Nationals, BG, Tomah,by Bryan Lively - Forum

I normally don't post on here about stuff like this but the facts are this: the V8 doesnt produce enough torque to compete well in Super Farm. Pro Stock is another story from what Carlton Cope is doing with the Warpath tractor. Re: worst track this year? - 13 years ago
That track at the OEF is built on asphalt. In the track crews defense they moved several hundred yards of dirt in the middle of the night and had to wait for the sound stage removed to get it done. Basically, they had to build the track on a stovetop--the dirt was cooking from below and the oppressive heat from the sun was cooking it from above, and they put as much water as they could on it foby Bryan Lively - Forum

Re: Lost already - 13 years ago
Dick- I can sense your confusion-here's my interpretation (and there is room for interpretation here), with some scenarios: 1. All distances past 300 feet will be measured. Only the top three distances will participate in the pull off. All vehicles will be red flagged if they exceed 320 feet. If three or more competitors exceed 320 feet, only competitors past 320 feet will come back inby Bryan Lively - Forum
