i seen somewhere that certain classes from pulls could be grouped together to make a cd.i am interested in the na-ss classes from your winter pulls , or classes similar to this from different places over the country.could a dvd be made from the winter pulls of this class only, the dvd would be from the past several years,or from the beginning of these pulls.thanks,patches.by patches - Forum
Re: lightest 4430 weight - 14 years ago
i imagine jeff kennedy also has his 1850 sitting, its a shame this class sort of fell apart.i always thought that maybe at one time some of the engine rules were holdind this class back, like the stock manifolds, and factory fuel for the head.i still have a few 310d heads with plugs in them, and enough parts and castings to last a lifetime sitting around, probably never will use them though.i would alby patches - Forum
Re: lightest 4430 weight - 14 years ago
i see reesemans pull all the time, donna still pulls her 88 and diane still pulls her 880.diane's son is pulling an 88 along with a wd.i live roughly 15 min from them.dale, their father is still going too.by patches - Forum
Re: lightest 4430 weight - 14 years ago

Re: lightest 4430 weight - 14 years ago
al juether is still active, bruce mcconnel's is supposed to be sitting at his place, last i heard of ketterer's,it was bought by 2 brothers that also pulled a deere diesel in that class.they were from around ruffsdale,pa.ray's 88 that whipple's bought, was pulling antiques around marshallville, ohio.i have no idea were rainey's 88 went, but the motot went to minerva, ohio.thereby patches - Forum
Re: lightest 4430 weight - 14 years ago
ray gault pulled a d-21 for quite a few years in oh and pa.tractor was named 'hard work'.the tractor pulled in 5500 and 7500 non turbo mod stock,it also had a wide front axle, and 24.5 tires on the rear.in the 5500 class,he had a couple weights to hang on.i heard the tractor went to the carolinas maybe 10 years ago.also didnt dennis johnson pull his d-21 in the 5500 super years ago.by patches - Forum
Re: lightest 4430 weight - 14 years ago

Re: the pull, distance and time - 14 years ago
i was thinking ,that the mph reading would start at the spot where the pull is deemed a official pull, say 100 ft,and be displayed for the duration of the pull.maybe the top few mph could be given a extra point or something else.i think it would be nice to see a run displayed on a digital screen,a lot of pullers would like it too.by patches - Forum

just noticed on allin photography site, that this ol-88,has the flow path reversed from the standard oliver 310.in the past it was always a standard flowpath head.the 478 has both intake and exhaust on the same side.so that isnt the reason.could this be using a cummins in this class.by patches - Forum
the pull, distance and time - 14 years ago
since pulling vehicles are going faster every year, would there be a way when using a digital scoreboard to display the mph of the pull.at the nqs pulls this is done, and it is very interesting.this does seem to make the classes more enjouable for the fan to watch, and it adds a new way for pullers to choose gearing and track position.also most motorsports use a time factor in determining something,by patches - Forum

Re: Allison Pro Charger - 14 years ago
by following this,a 526 cuin 2 valve at 8500 rpm, moves more air than the allison,at 1710 cuin.are the heads on the allison that big of a restriction to airflow.the allison sure got the v-8's beat for sound though, they are the best.by patches - Forum
Re: width of rear wheel - 14 years ago
ran mine on 20 in and was very satisfied with them, had a nice sidewall at that width.also by watching slow speed video, the tread pattern would appear to get longer instead of wider.we ran a wt of 9000-16,000.gear was 3rd high.by patches - Forum

by looking at the pic,it is sandefur's lt super.you can tell by the hood color, the white mark on the side shield,is the corner of the letter "f".it is an alky, under the ex manifold there is a peice of diamond plate aluminum,on the very front of this a sparkplug boot that i believe is visible.also there is not to many diesels with a aluminum head is there?.the sparkplug boots are visible infrby patches - Forum
