Re: Bowling Green Seating Question - 13 years ago
if your sitting on the south side,it is called the "finish line tower",section 1 is at about the finish line, and the center walkway splits rows jj and kk.with jj being on the lower side.on bg's web site im pretty sure they have a seating map.if you get there early,in row jj there is noone seated behind you,so there is no knees in your back.by patches - Forum

Re: all green prostock classes - 13 years ago
i would think a top pro bottom end takes a harder beating than a alky, but if not like you said lustik's bottom end,and cope's top,and there would be one bad oliver.but i believe the cat's are somewhat weak in the bottom half.by patches - Forum

who and why 680 - 13 years ago
who decided on the 680 limit, and why 680 and not some other number ,bigger or smaller.i cant imagine back in the day when the pro class had color to it that the non jd pullers agreed to 680,that just doesn't make sense.i imagine that there was some level of politics involved too.it appears at that time in pulling history that majority did not rule.by patches - Forum
lgt ss-lgt pro cylinder head ,class comparison - 13 years ago
with all the talk last week about the recast-oem type head issue, wouldn't it make sense to completely level the playing field and allow the aftermerket heads in the lighter pro classes.if the head rule was not applied, then a buda, herc, cat, case ,and moline could all be competitive with the ih and jd.isn't the open head rule whar puts so much color into the lt ss class.every brand there iby patches - Forum
Re: thank you - 13 years ago
i have funded my tractors by working at extra jobs on the side.something to always remember when taking on a project is to listen and learn everything you can about the new adventure, and when money is tight, learn from other pullers mistakes and only spend your money one time, and not on parts that might work together, but on parts that do work together.personally i think it is very wise to follow pby patches - Forum

Re: What puller has hooked to most number of times? - 13 years ago
q 1-for a retired puller i would have to say ,if your talking about a national circuit,it would be dave banter. im basing this on they had 2 tractors which he drove both.and pulled in 3 classes.so thats 6 hooks per event,if your counting actual hooks to a sled, after adding pull offs ,i would think he would be out front by a good ways...q 2-id guess,al koch,or dave haley.both were around in the beby patches - Forum
Re: keep in mind it is a 460 utility - 13 years ago
i think a ac d-19 would be good looking with this same seating arrangement, also one of the two styles of the ford 6000 commander would be an interesting peice, the model without the headlights in the center would probably be the best.i have to admit i was not a big fan of the any sheet metal rule, but this rlf lite seems to have sparked a newborn interest in the ss class, and the lighte class this dby patches - Forum

Re: NTPA Light Mod Class? - 13 years ago
i always felt that the light mod"single engine" tractor guys went to twd, back when twd was a "new" class.they all had the motor, and didn't want to add more motors so the logical thing to do was switch to twd.by patches - Forum
