As said above by Farmers Fun, the 4010 top of the block is wider, a newer style head with those inj. won't line up. You'd have to put in a newer block. If you do put on a newer pencil inj. head on, be careful with new head bolts. Even if you get them from deere to match the head, the 4010 block isn't threaded as deep and you will have to cut a few off. I learned that after exper

what is a 6030 trans case with all the parts that are in a bin worth? all it really needs to be fixed back to stock is new sycros. I really don't want to put it back to stock, but don't have the money now for a 3 speed. any way to run it without putting all the money into the syncros and into a 1/2 gear? thanks

nope no 2+2 inginuity here; the concept came from using a loader frame and moving the cab forward for better visibility. would love to run one to try it, but until then i'm a little sceptical on the whole thing.

Does anyone know if the transmission speeds are the same from a 5020 to a 6030? I have availability to buy a complete 5020 trans for my 6030, but I want to make sure I'm getting the speed I'm looking for! (wanting a 7.5 gear for my 6030) I've heard that a 5020 8th is slower than a 6030. Is this true? would that affect the 7.5 anyway? If the 5020 8th is slower, what gear or speed

don't weight up all the way and run 8th gear. your speed and momentum will carry you farther than going slower weighted down.
I've ran this way and for more than a year weighing more than 3500 less than max weight. you also can keep your tractor balanced better because your not always switching classes. just my 2 cents good luck

I think the common rail has already proven itself with the duramax engine. I can't believe it hasn't been used with all the JD 8.1 common rails already.
I wish i knew how to make programs for them, quite a potential for a gold mine!!!!

from what i've seen over the past couple of years, I KNOW of some 466 tractors; both green and red; that run all over some 640 tractors!!!!
so is there a need for two classes based on cubic inch? probably not.
divide the classes by pumps. A-pump or P-pump.
