I believe if you take the weight away from the aklys and bring them back down under 6000 lbs and have the diesels at 6300 lbs then they will have a fighting chance. But nobody wants to give up the weight because it makes them harder to drive....

Here is a thought..... They did unhook the intercooler but the reason they still put the ice in the box is because they understand the balance of the tractor. Keeping the ice out and putting the added weight father up front might upset the way the tractor goes down the track. Maybe they have done there homework.... Again just a Thought

We had two sets sent in to be checked with tips that had been ran 4 or 5 seasons. They replaced the tips and sent us videos before and after. Big difference in the spray pattern. Same bodies. So to answer your question i would say they are worn out.

It depends on how much pressure you have. For example a #26 @ 700 psi it could put out 8 oz and at 1000 psi it could put out 11oz. Max Simpson has a chart on what each one does at different pressures.

So with the decubing of motors now does that mean you can put a 400 series in a 656/666/686 chassis?

If you keep the alcohols at 410 and let the diesels run 505 it's a very very competitive class. Alki's weight 6000 Diesels Weight 6100. On any given night it could be any of the two. It takes the horse power out of the equation and puts it back into the driver seat.

I agree I H 656 and 666 are junk they won't hold up. Go component and go back to being a light class of 5000 pounds. We should all update

With the way the Alkys are advancing so much I don't think I would take anything away from the diesels!

We have two 656 rears and Trans both are holding up just fine. One is running triple turbos and the other is running two. Both are diesels.

What is the advantage to c-rings over fire rings. Is it they can handle more boost if so where is the advantage point 150 lbs of boost or more??? There is a big price difference so how do you justify spending that much more for them?
