Brandon B and rawhide hp truly summed it up. In my opinion with the setup you described, I do not believe there would be any noticeable diffence. The only way to really see that small of a change would be as the other guys suggested, and that is via a before and after dyno test. Original post says they are all within 10 hp of each other. I'm not sure how you all know that you are within 10 h

First off , Taylor please do not stop your mission because of small thinkers! Some people's vision and minds are so fogged with jealousy and worrying about others affairs that they cannot see the very path that they travel.
Second of all, I encourage anyone who decides to put down your cause, to stop and think before they speak falsely or make slanderous remarks and accusations against you

As you will find in most sanctioned organizations, Oxygen carriers and or oxygen extenders are Not Permitted in fuels or water. I believe Power Mist additives are oxygen enriched and or oxygen enhancing additives which would make them Illegal in most organizations. The added oxygen and oxygen enhancing properties will cause much higher combustion temperatures as well which could lead to piston fa

Chris C is right. I think the Light Limited pro Class at Glenford is limited to 4"" charger. You can double check me on that. However I don't think they really tech that class too much. I have heard they are coming out with a 2.7 turbo class this year at Glenford. I will check and see about it and post what I find. rw

I will take nothing away from Hart's or FVP, they are both very reputable companies in the business. However Columbus Motor Sports are serious players as well. They have many championship tractors out there pulling all over the country for many years. They are in Cloverdale at the NTPA event this weekend. I recommend stopping in and talking to those guys. If you cannot make it there. You can

Columbus Diesel, in Columbus Ohio. They can fix you up, or answer any questions you may have. The P3000 and 7100 are most popular and therefore most likely easier to get your hands on. They both work good, however depending upon your application one may be best suited for you over the other. I would call Columbus to discuss your needs in order to make the most informed decision. Their number is 6

I agree bbailey, you should come down to Glenford Ohio Lions Club pull. I'm sure we have a class for you. They run a thing from garden tractors to trucks and all the way up to light pros. 3 pulls a year and one at Muskingum county fair in August. Barney from out your way comes down and pulls his v8 hotrod. Not much fussing, just brush pulling at it finest. Hope to see you there thus summer.

You basically divide the total volume of cylinder and everything mentioned with the divisor, at bottom dead center by total volume at top dead center, including top of piston volume, valve reliefs in head, head gasket thickness, any combustion chambers or reliefs in head, don't forget to add all these volumes with bottom dead center volume as well. This will result in compression ratio. Best

Jake, as ??? said if you are running above farm stock or are making way more hp than what the tractor came from factory, then it is wise to go to weld on hubs. We broke a cast hub one time. Sometimes what happens which was in our case, we stripped the threads from the clamp bolts which in turn caused the cast hub to break.
Things can get pretty ugly when you are moving north of 10-12 mph and a h

Washer Fluid, Some may be putting things in there water. However I do not think your statement of people being morons is necessary. As for for being behind in the brush pulls if you use only water and pump lube, and do not use some magic potion in your water tank, this is not true either. We have run against some really fierce competition around here and I feel we did pretty good this year. Some

Newbie, don't be discouraged by other posts. Maybe the class you are fixing to run only allows 466?
I suggest building aaccording to the rules that. The organization that you plan to run with allows. Also even more important don't build beyond your budget and go and have fun pulling. And to answer your question, yes a properly built 466 can run a 4.1 charger. You just have to build it

Yes it was. Some really great looking and great running iron for sure!
We were Blessed to be able to compete with some very strong running tractors. The Classic Supers and Hot rods were a really good show as well. Andy Hurst, Scott Miller, Kim Butcher, Josh VanHorn, and Alan Coble all were very hospitable to me and my family.
Thank You all for allowing us to compete at your event!

I know nothing about the tires you are speaking of, however before you buy, I would contact Lincoln Andrews of Traction Unlimited (217) 895-3116. I have spoke with him on a couple different occasions. He seems like a very nice guy to deal with. Good luck on your search for tires and I hope you have a successful year pulling.

I'm with Taylor. Check thrust bearings. If worn on sides, you need to check clearances to make sure something isn't too tight when transmission is bolted to engine assembly. Input shaft of transmission could be bearing on end of crankshaft?
