We had a huge learning curve this year by switching to pro pullers from a set of Firestone double cut radials. In my opinion, I think by the end of the year we had them figured out and I really think they helped. They really really shine on a bad track. We will see how they fare against the 24.5 Tires this season.

Another vote for the raynham. Fit great. Had the haslag and couldn’t even cut it apart and make it look like anything.

Just purchased the RPM system with the dash. Just got it all installed and wired but have not fired it up yet. Hopefully soon we can have the engine back together and get it fired up. It’s a well built system with lots of expansion. Dash looks really nice and rugged. Best priced kit out there.

I drove out the freeze plugs and run the leaf blower from the front of the motor where the water would go in. I have been tempted to put some back in and let the air pick up velocity instead having many places to escape. I have seen guys make a manifold that bolts on the thermostat housing and goes to the ground so you can just slide the leaf blower on it and let it sit on the ground.

Haven't used him but I just went through a bad gear experience. Not sure where it came from but I believe allied. Rung two teeth off and the rest were at the point of breaking off. I won't use a cheap gear anymore. That was almost a really expensive problem.

Running the oil temp sensor in the pan. Prolly wouldn't hurt to have it in the block or another in the block.

Yes we (Hellbilly Deluxe) are having good results with the pro pullers. Both in a 20.8 class and in a 24.5 class. On a loose or soupy track they really really shine. On a tough track they will bog you down depending on your gearing and hp. The added bonus to me is the ability to keep sharpening the tires for a long time. It does take some time to get the tires to flex the side walls. When we fin

No water anywhere. Went dry head last year with water in the block. Still headaches so we went all dry this year. Watching the oil temp we won't run until at least 130 and at the end of the run we will be at 145-160. Get the leaf blower out and let it run over the oil pan and the motor to cool it off. This year I plan to install a fan mounted to the block that will run after the first hook a

Went to dry block this year at 3000 RPM. Had a few nights where it would stay warm but nothing outrageous, get you a leaf blower and dont look back. Make sure you leave the main and rod bearings a little loose and have about.020 piston to sleeve clearance and you should be fine.

I have not tried this. Bought a remote mount setup with a Fram hp6a filter. Base has a screen in it. Seems to work very well. Take the top off the base after each run and inspect the screen. Able to dual feed oil through it. Got it from wipeout.

The biggest reason we are having all the different tractors in the class is to allow the class to have numbers and grow. I am sure we will have some growing pains to go through with getting weights or other handicaps to even the class out. This is a great way for the antique guys to move up a class. We are hopeful that we can pull guys in from other organizations on an off day and allow them to p
