Can't really say that when money was given up front. He didn't do half the work agreed upon. And the bill was higher than quoted when done. And that's not the worst of it all.

Need to read the rules and figure out what you can have. But in my opinion the slotted will make more hp.

I'm a Caterpillar product support sales rep in Ohio/ WV. It's rough but we try to make every pull as we pull locally. we may stray out for a long distance weekend pull this year and see what happens. Just get out and have fun!

Here is our setup. Notice the collars on the cylinder. Had an issue of the connecting arms over centering and locking the wheel.

It allows each wheel to turn separate from the other allowing it to drive straight and be controlled by the brakes. I have been on the wrong side of this and it's not fun. Kind of has a mind of its own.

It depends on the cam and the block. From experience it's not easy to find a shop to machine the bores flat. Wipeout does make a thinner tie bar. I have a set if needed.
Installed the cam and slide two lifters in with the tie bars. Turn the cam until the lifters are bottomed out and see if the tie bar moves any while keeping down pressure on the lifters.

Ok to expand and complicate things; in the above scenario, at what point would you insert the water injection? Where the air is more turbulent and will mix with the water better or where the air is straight/settled? I think it best where the air is turbulent thus as close to the turbo as possible before it gets to the chamber and is allowed to settle out. I have a theory of trying to make somethi

So I have been following this since Gonzo posed the question. Would the expansion chamber idea be the same as some of the dozer intakes I have seen with a "log" on top with two runners going down? The pipe coming from the compressor discharge (3") turning towards the front end of the tractor then doing a 180 degree turn back straight in to a 5" pipe that then dual feeds the intake. I see this as

Very well said Mr. Morgan. I think most people just want something to complain about. I believe the show itself is one of the best. Some of the other things going on there may need tweaking but it's still a great place to see every class of tractor.

We have a few more tractors now and a few new ones that are coming out this year. This club is based in West Virginia and we did not pull at sugar creek as a club. I believe the rules for that class are totally different than ours.
