If you can update engines, you could decube a Detroit 40/DT 408 or Sisu.

There is a gentleman who actually runs a D21 rear in the class, Doesn't have an abundance weights on the tractor but he said he done a lot of work to get it light enough. On our old 180 we was told when it started to make good power it would break axle shafts. |

I don't know why i just thought of this, but many many years ago at a Nebraska Bush event there was a AC D21 there called the Kansas Hooker. Any chance that was your familys tractor? |

Wouldn't a 200 rear be heavy for a 6000# tractor? |

Jeff,
The Kansas Hooker D21 was our first pro stock tractor which debuted in 1989. We updated to AGCO 9650 sheetmetal on this tractor and built a chrome-moly frame for it in the winter of '94 or '95 and renamed it Hurricane Allis. Take care, Todd |

So I guess my question is how much difference in a 190 and 200 is there. The 200 seems like a big tractor for the class. Is there a difference in the 190 and the 190XT? |
Re: Allis ?

190, 190XT, 200, and even early 7000 all share the same basic rearend design. There may be weight differences between them through evolving better gears and such, but difference will be minimal. |

I think you are thinking of a 210/220, they are substantially larger and have the 426 engine. The 200 is just a newer version of the 190 |

use the 200, it has bigger ring @pinion with a 4 spider gear diff housing, and put 5.9 cummins in. it will weigh around 5400lb no problem.UNBELIEVEABLE. GO ORANGE. |

Is the center section of an allis similar to the IH or similiar to the John Deere in length |
Re: Allis ?

The Allis would be longer than a JD from rear center axle to the front clutch housing. If you use the 180 you can roll the axle's and move the engine forward more. The 190 XT will have a bigger dia rear axle than a straight 190. Which is the same as a D-19. You can put the 4 pinion in the 180 rear. Although the 180 has the bullpinion and bullgear weak point. But you can put a D17 Series 4 finals and speed the 180 rearend up. Plenty of choices. All will work, just what you would want to start with. Scott Everett |
