Farmall 656? April 02, 2012 08:08AM
Have any of you guys on here ever put a dt360 into a 656 chassis? Thinking about building one and want to know how much work it will be. Any help would be appreciated thanks Josh

You will need the backing plate off of a triple 6 , it will bolt up to the 360. I am running a 466 block in my 686 . I uploaded a pic. of the backing plate . If you need a plate , i might know where one is ,,P.S. they are not cheap !270-576-7308

I just spent $500 on one last month, but the flywheel will be the next challenge! Factory flywheel will run $700 to $800 depending on where you go looking.

for that price just put a steel flywheel in and dont waste time with a cast factory one.

you can contact Leaman Tractor parts, he has the whole set up. He has the factory engine plate but he also makes them out of steel. He also has the steel flywheels which is a must if you are going to run over 3000rpm. Do it right the first time and spend the extra few dollars it will be worth it in the end. The number is 1 800 233 0743. You can also view the pics of his plate and flywheel set up on Ebay. good luck
