my case 1175 has the 504 in it out of a 1570. i have been looking to upgrade the turbo and seems like the 3lm is the good choice but i was looking around and this BK diesel has a high output 3lm and S2E you can buy. The site says the 3lm is good for applications for 200 hp and under while the S2E says its good for 200 hp plus. Im lost on this cause i thought the 3lm could flow more and was the better choice? (both for the same price) anyone could help it would be much appreciated. |

I tried an S2E in place of a stock 3LM466, and was very dis-appointed. After reading lots of people bragging up the S2E as a much bigger and better turbo than a 3LM, I thought I'd try one, and it didn't perform as good as the 3LM. After that I tried the small S300 and haven't looked back. It is a great little turbo, with modern features like MWE, and a much more robust thrust bearing design than the 3LM. |

I have a 3lm-466 on my stock 1175 with the 451ci and it puts out a lot more than 200hp! I just redone the heads, put that on there and went pulling! good 8-mph tractor. I know some one who has your set up with a 3lm-466 and its pretty stout! Was told the S-300 was a good charger too? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/04/2014 11:34AM by eppie. |

What version of the s300 are you running? Where is the best place to purchase one? I know deere seemed to use a lot of them on the 8.1L but don't know which part numbers or variety is the best? Are you using one that has the 2" hose from the charger to the intake, the v clamp, or the belled end with o-ring? |

The s366 (Series S300, 66mm Inducer wheel. Makes the turbo number a S366) Borg Warner should work well for you. You can usually find them on many of the truck pulling websites, such as competitiondiesel.com for example. The exhaust housings on Borg Warner turbos are usually measured in A/R such as .96, 1.10 and so on. Not knowing very much about your setup I would guess look for something around the .80 to .96.
Again all this is just a very basic and just a ballpark to point you in the right direction. If you need any other info messenge me I will try to help all I can. Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 02/05/2014 06:27AM by amnima. |

Yea I am sure they do. They are measured in MilliMeters though. 25.4 millimeters = 1 Inch So 2.75 inch x 25.4= 69.85 or say 70.
Look for a S370 or move to a larger frame S470. |
