5154420257 phone number is a scam he wants to buy something but wants you to wire extra money to shipper they only text and give no info back to u be careful

Yes ive been getting text from them numbers wanting to buy engines if someone is interested in something they will call you. But some people will call you and buy whatever you have and knock you out of a sale because you don't here from them again I guise some peoples wives handle the checkbook and the answer is no when they come home from work |

Same here wanted a crank, send a check in excess and forward extra to courier and meet at local walmart.also tried to call got text back .just BS! |

I posted a tractor for sale on another site and within 15 minutes, I get a text asking if I still have it. He is very interested and wants to talk. Please call him. His number checked out to be Manhattan, New York. I don't know what he is planning on doing with a tractor in Manhattan but I did not respond to find out either.
There are a lot of scammers out there that will quickly respond to an ad and sound pretty convincing at times. Why don't these "people" get a real life? |

yes same here wanted to buy asked no questions, said would get to me through a courier service and wanted name and adress and ect... figured was scam he didnt ask any questions about turbo.. i tried calling the number no answer, asked why he wanted turbo said reselling, pretty obvious it wasnt for real.... same number said name was chris... told him to call me, and he never did, kinda fun playing w/whoever it is now. |

I just checked and that number is a cell number from here in my town, Indianola. As far as I know I have the only tractor within about 50 miles of here. I am gonna try to find out who this is and get it stopped if possible. |

I was selling 22"rims and got the same messages as everyone else and the same story as everyone else. They told me about walmart and they own a pawnshop in florida and i made it far enough to make them send me a check until i finally decided to google the number. The check ended up being from colorado springs and great west trust company. I was also asking for 800 and recieved 1900. Nothing adds up. (515) 442-5661 New number out there. |

They type pretty good English. Maybe they are foreign, but if they reside here we need to hunt them down and drag them around behind a tractor for a while. Wasted my time for quite a while before figured out that rotten egg smell. |

I got a couple texts from this number about my tires I'm trying to sell. when I seen it said a good money order made me look into it. So I googled the number an found a bunch of people also had problem with same number. Off of different websites so I texted the number and said I only deal in cash. Last I've heard so far from it. |

It appears the call is coming from every call it makes. Found this Out when trying to purchase a computer with pirated programs, Then backed out. That was on Craigslist. |

He sent me a text about some tires I have for sale. People must fall for the scam or they wouldn't keep doing it would they. He sounded legit on my deal until he said his money order would be delieverd by a courier sevice, and he would not mail it to me. |

I like the ones that send you a fedex with a check for way over what your asking then your suposed to send the extra -a extra amount for your trouble backto them with the shipment. The check always is through a company or person that knows nothing of the deal. I just like toget them to spend the money on the fedex |

Same here. He said wanted to buy a 560 from me (text). 515 area code Google out to central iowa. Same deal, wanted to wire me the money but put extra money on for shipping then I would pay shipper. Didn't feel right to me but text seemed to have someone on the other end that knew something about tractors. |

A scam for sure! Mention cash, that takes care of them. No one in there right mind would text you, not haggle on the price, then not ask any questions about the item and ask if they can buy it for the asking price and send you a "good" cashiers check! |

He's sending me a cashiers check for a Massey 95. I figured I'd play his game and make him do some work and waste his money mailing me a check.
Dateline did a story a few years ago about these scams. Most of them were traced back to overseas. |

Same guy has texed me.He wanted a set of used Midwest wheels I have.I asked what tire he's putting them on and he said he was going to re sell them.I told him $4000 and he wanted mailing info.Then I asked him why he would pay so much when a new set is cheaper.No reply.LOL! |

I have not had one in a while but I still will go through the bs and have them send me the check its not free for them to fed ex anything. Then I just don't send them anything or I have contacted the company the check was written from. I may be wrong but i feel that if it is a loss for them they will maybe quit. |

This guy is another one of those scammers he tried to buy a set of tires off of me claimed he was in Florida. It's funny that those guys won't talk in person. |

Just have him send you the check--overnight if possible. Then keep the check for show and tell. When he calls about his share or pickup info, give them a false address (no one is going to show anyhow). Then, just ignore. What is he going to do, call the authorities? Just don't do anything COD or shipping charge collect. I have a nice $45,000 check (for a trailer I was selling at $38,000) I carry in the trailer on such a deal. I got them for an overnight UPS delivery charge anyhow. JW |

Chris contacted me tonight about some tires and wheels. He said he would take them wanted my address to send a cashiers check so I give him the county sheriffs address. I could tell it was fake by the way it was wrote. Lol. They have apps now for smart phones that mask your number. Or it could be a google number |

Ic3.gov is the site to send info on these things to. (515) 442 block 0 is Bandwidth.com, which means it's likely a Google Voice number. Report these scams to the FBI via IC3.GOV. I reported one a few years ago, and saw they busted some scammers in Canada a while later. Not sure if my info helped, but only the FBI is likely to be able to trace the user of an ip phone. |

I've been having fun with "Chris" for a few days, just leading him on. Told him I'd have to wait 30 days for his check to clear, and he still responded, saying it would only take 5 days. I am hesitant to give him my address, but would like to mess with him as much as I can. The scam was obvious from the first text. These guys need to study up on their English, but they are better than they used to be. |
