Super Farm vs Lim. Pro February 17, 2018 03:06AM
Does anyone know the cost difference to build the engine for a Super Farm vs Lim. Pro, know the price difference in fuel & air but was curious if the motor would need more.

That would depend on a few things like what LP class, how hard are you gonna stand on it, how many pulls a year and how long do you want it to live?

Former Region 2 SF pullers who 3-4 years ago stepped up to Lim PS, each told me they spent $50K to do the tractor and engine right to be competitive. I believe it as these tractors do perform and put on a great show.
Congratulations to Brad Boldry "Smoke Fever" on his LV win. That tractor is one that was converted and done properly from the start. Just wish Region 2 offered this class much more.

0 dollars in a difference to build. But more maintainer cost on a limited pro. The Rpms rip the motors apart. They are both 640 cubes. Both have billet rods and crank. Both have recast heads. Both run same sleeves pistons and deck plates. Both run billet aluminum intake manifolds except Sf has to buy a intercooler and pumps and ice tank Limited pro runs a header but Sf runs a reworked stock exhaust manifold. Injector pumps are exactly the same besides fuel settings. Both have billet style injectors. Turbo for limited is same price wether it is a 3” or 4.1”. Both have billet steel cams. Clutch and transmission cost the same just different gear ratios. Rear tires are the same. You can argue either way which class needs built rods or crank but it’s all about dependability in both classes. Good parts go along ways. So to answer the original question 0 cost difference. Please anyone that would like to argue the difference explain what cost more from one to another.

Not sure on cost difference,,,,,
But there are FAR less whiners in the limited pro class, compared to the hay rake yanker super farm class!
SF STILL the biggest bunch of crybaby cheaters in the NATION!
Glad to hear NFMS is considering dropping their childish asses !
Now if NTPA and PPL could follow,,,,,,,,,,

Re: Super Farm vs Lim. Pro February 19, 2018 02:13AM
The NTPA could never drop SF because they still get 50+ at Bowling Green. Even though it is 50 different cheaters today then it was 15 years ago, they still bring in numbers

Right RearTire183, what a great way to make your registered introduction to this pulling chatboard. Same kind of slanderous, hatred remarks as you are probably the same one that just not many days ago had your slanderous thread completely deleted on Fonda's board. So now you want to spread all your smell stinky SF hatred crap over here. Just keep your opinion to yourself. There are plenty of 'fans' that like the competitve SF class. Just because you show your obvious disdane hatred for the class does not mean that everyone else is in your camp.

And Worker Bee and all you other SF hatred posters, you are no better.
If you are going to make such alleged accusations of cheating, then have guts enough to post your real name, post the accusers real name and bona fide proof of the crime committed. That will help to eliminate from competition or make the 'cheaters' clean up their act.

Better yet for all you slanderous people is for you to build, maintain, finance and pull your own vehicle. But then you will probably want the rules to fit your situation. And if they don't, then will want to start a new class just so you can be the top dog in the fight.
Get real and get a real life and look at the positves and be happy for them.

Re: Super Farm vs Lim. Pro February 18, 2018 02:22AM
If they all switch to Lim pro it will be a short time before the same tractors are winning all the pulls and the same issues will arise. I guess I'm confused how the show will be any different if they all spend 50k more on their equipment just for the results to be the same. Most people in the crowd don't know the difference between sf, Lim pro, lt pro or pro stock. They all look like fancy farm tractors. Some of you guys forget that the goal is to fill the stands not satisfy our personal pulling wishes.

Well said de1066

Re: Super Farm vs Lim. Pro February 19, 2018 06:19AM
So all SF pullers are cheaters. And then the limited pro class is mainly guys that used to run SF. I guess that means the limited pro class is...
