Pulling on a Cinder Track

Might seem like a no brainer but looking for opinions to help get prepared
Have a Pull coming up this summer on a cinder track. Currently run Firestone Radial Double Cuts at 12.5 - 13 pounds. Pull at 6500 pounds. That’s typical set up on a dirt track. What changes would you make for this event? Air pressure? Just weight? Different gear? A combination of these? Change tires (Have a set of full cut biased at our disposal) Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks all! |

I'd try and lower the air pressure at least a couple of pounds. |

Is there any benefit to going from the double cut radials to the full cut biased or would that be going the wrong direction? |

double cuts need to be turned fast. |

Depending on how nice of a set of tires you have, you might use some older worn tires. Cinder tracks will take the edge right off the tire. |
