What kind of power can you get out of a 10.1 liter with bolt on parts such as fuel and air? What’s best size turbo to run on one at 3000 rpm?
Do the cylinder heads have the small 7mm injector tip holes like the 8.1 that need drilled out for bigger 5x25 injectors ? |

if you mean 10.1 as in the 60 series and newer 6101 engine, then yes, It's 7mm shank on the nozzles. it would need drilled to 3/8" for the popular style injectors.
if you mean 10.1 as in the 30-50 series 619 engine, then it's the 3/8" shank on the nozzles. As for power... it'll need fire rings at the minimum. I don't think you'll get much over 400-500hp max without doing that. Even that, it needs to be done with a right size turbo and housing so that you can balance drive psi and boost psi. The good news is the 60 series 10.1's come with a factory 12mm pump, so a little pump work and turbo swap can have it running strong. Shoot me an email if you have questions, I've played with a few over the years.......... |
