The easiest way is to go to the board or class rep your planning to pull with and ask. Asking on here gets you nowhere when it comes to the LLSS class

I never mentioned take 30s away. How many of you keep stats over the years how the season goes with the rules implemented in your clubs?

At this point people are not wanting to change the engine rules or turbo rules. The weight is pretty clear what clubs want to run. As for the tires , the 30.5 on diesel are an advantage . I have run against a few and have gotten 20 feet put on the 24.5 diesel guys, same engine rules. I like alcohol tractors running either one . There always debate on these rules and over the years we still end up

Also need to check the clubs head rule , some only allow 12 valve , not the 24 in a cylinder head

I am going to agree with Oly on his comment. If you want a cubic inch check , you put up the 500 dollars. This is what I was told.

On the turbo's for diesels. Depends on your association rules . Some are 3by4 smooth bore for Ecitpa , BSTP. Wtpa , and others are either 3by 4 map or 3.4by 4. And yes alcohol are 3by 4 smooth bore.

This class is like comparing an Apple to an Orange. No matter what you do they will never taste the same . But what makes this class fun and interesting is that we are all fruit.

I think when less than 1% of the US population uses tractors and can relate to tractor pulling. And people in the Ag community is getting older and farms getting passed on the the bigger farms is the problem for interest. As for thinking everyone get in for free your wrong , I am able to get only two in , others that come with pay their way and depending on what the gate changes is anywhere to 1

One thing is I haven't be asked to be a the fair convention to represent our class. Plus the rules for the class are already in place by the convention in February. If you would like to see change come to the meeting on December 3 at 12:00 noon . I would be happy to discuss it .

The class present rules to the board. If it not discussed with in the class break out sessions it will never get voted on. My advice is to talk with the class reps or come to the meeting. It never hurts to listen to new ideas. But telling someone on this forum mostly goes no where with out someone voicing thought the right channels or a phone call.

For all of you that want BSTP to run 470 . We do have a meeting in Dec . I have been asking for the last few years someone to come state the case for 470. Haven't seen anyone or any calls for people interested, just that we should change just because. And are you going to run all the season pulls ? And support all year long?

The guys with the 3.4 470 pretty much in the WTPA in Wisconsin have been doing very well even over the 410 cooler with map ring. I don't think this would be any different , especially the guys running smooth bore 410 cooler even with extra 200. I would rather see a one size turbo rule at the same weight.

$ we as pullers check on equipment after, before each pull. No matter what you do things happen when you start pushing , parts fail . I had a turbo go this year and was the first one in my 20 years of pulling .

I don't think anyone saying this can't be done. That was then ,a lot of safety features have been add since the 80's. Why does this class always what to live in the past? Hp in them days were 800-900 for LLSS? And now pushing over 1500? To be realistic and to get to GN or PPL championship tour this back and forth weight issue is a mood point when the nigher up sets the weight. The

No matter if you think how much money your budget is or what the weight should be . People will still spend the money to be competitive . That's the nature of competition.

Why does it matter if local clubs have different weights? There's a lot light super clubs that have different weights , but the GN class and PPL championship tour is set at 6400 for light supers. So if the LLSS was a GN class wouldn't they have a set weight? And wouldn't these tractors still pull on a bigger stage?

It's not the weight, it's the 3.4 turbo that's wearing them out. Happening in the Wtpa too.

Really I don't think the 100 pounds is a deal breaker. I think there's other reasons. I know Badger State , Ecitpa and Wtpa it's not an weight issue, we have 16 members signed up for our class . Two of ours are running points in Iowa which is fine , and a few are not out yet because of parts, 2 broke early and since some don't like the turbo rule in the Wtpa. 5.60 diesel fuel

If you add the cooler just remember your going to add about 100-125 in weight to the tractor . I don't know your clubs weight. The cooler will help alot on the end of the run .

I have to agree with you Dick. Being a certified tech official with PPL and Badger State. Some of these rules contradict themselves. Like OEM transmission , clutch and house connection stock location, but then a few lines down to our have auxiliary transmission may be used. What happened to stock location? So when you look 5 years down the road and someone yells that's not right , it's

To Really, to compare updating to farming is just a little bit different . Now if you would have taking the route of health wise to sustain the the work load of the job would be different. I am going to be 55 , and am retiring the cow operation because the body could use new parts as to knees. That's an option available so that I can still maintain my walking. Just like the component option.

Then you have a component with cast skin, so what's the difference? You already with pro-fab you moved transmission out of stock location? So why against components if this is going to be the norm? So then why aren't there rules in place ? A gray area someone is already using the component factor .

To Really. I understand both sides of this argument about components. But what does the future look like? We our all ready seeing component parts inside of a reamed out cast housings, is that the right way to go? Will this way keep color with the small light rear ends? Do I want to see the sheet metal and engine combos Pro Stocks run , hell no . I know people don't like change , because they
