In reply to Stomper, this recast head rule . . I am sure I will get call out because of durability and so on . But why make this rule when everyone can't use it? 470 with a recast head ,is that fair for my 410 with 300 series engine and oem head? Some of these rules need to be thought out a little bit more. If tractors with no access to recast heads then let them build billet ? And if you ev

We average 9-11 for the year , we actually have be going up and we had two tractors broke over half the year and had two paid dues that didn't show up all year .. Had 13-14 one weekend and the last pull had 17 so what the heck do you guys want? 20 in a class . Promoters are asking for 3 hour shows . If you guys want all these ru

In reference to the weight comment. The last two years alcohol tractor at the lower weight won points so why change ? Your logic doesn't add up if things are working.

Every year there's all ways talk on this , I ask how many tractors would it bring to Badger State and pay dues and run all season? Never get an answer. So until someone shows up at the winter meeting and wants to discuss this with our membership, it's just a wishlist for you guys that only want to run once or twice.

These 4 groups not having a 470 rule doesn't have anything to do with LLSS being a GN class . By the way Western Series put the rule in in Nashville ,IL this year for that pull.

Most of the LLSS rules are pretty close , the problem is the head rules and turbo rules . Ya you have weight difference, but if they were able to go to bigger events with one set of rules they with follow them as long as there no exceptions . Rules are rules , you pull or you don't .

I wonder what rules would apply for GN LLSS class ? We see that aftermarket heads allowed on some clubs , we got components, let's see does anyone need something else? So this means the National Rules won't work or needs a rewrite. I think sometimes common sense goes by the wayside, If everyone wants unified rules you gotta stick with one set. David Runkle

At our tech school all 3.0 chargers need a cross on the intake side, 4.1 and 540 classes need a cross over pipe blanket , unless your cross over pipe measures .120 thick. More info go to PPL tech page on Facebook

We just had are spring meeting here last week for Badger State. And talking about rules and the LLSS class, I had one puller say we need to look at the class as a whole instead of one individual or individuals that what something changed. We are here to put on a show for the fans and the promoters who pay for the class to be there. As for the code of conduct , it's written on our payment o

To Lewis , I was at a tech school last Saturday to get certified for PPL tech and the box charger with possibly of caim rule was talked about. I don't think it's to far off in some classes. The biggest thing was cost of the latest and greatest prices they're charging.

First off , are tractors having head problems? What the reason behind the push for recast heads? What will be the the rules for the head , stock location for intake and exhaust manifolds and valves? Or is it a free for all .

One of my fellow pullers were discussing this topic and Box Charger was mentioned for this limited class which I kinda was an interesting take. Since everyone worried about breaking rears. Would be spending for updated chargers every Two year at 6-7000 a pop.

That's interesting, in December talked with Hayden Otto said they didn't. I have been asked for a set of printed rules for over a year , I guess that's maybe why.

So if this is coming , what is the exact rules ? Say engine placement? Because stock engine placement is not the same in every brand. And what's next remanufactured heads or billet ?.

Your last paragraph about how much money has been spent is true. I have guys talk about this all the time. LLSS was too be an entry level low cost class, but the more rules are changed the more you will spend. So I think that ship has sailed

I know that everyone wants a general set of rules . Pullers need to be aware when someone doesn't pull in this class decides what best for it, it's not always the best decision. If it's about safety then it needs to be considered . Be careful what you wish for . I hear this many times in board meetings.

Both points are well taken. I am not for sure but I think the class is at that point, just like adding the alcohol tractors a few years back. But understand that if this would happen we need support through out the season not just a few times. We don't need tractors that show up when they feel like it, which doesn't help with season. Because promoters want numbers.

I can pass on the information, but the guys that want this I wish you would come to the meeting in person. This would go over better that your there supporting this and become a member. It's not about just pulling a time or two. Meeting is December 7 at Noon at the Wilderness event center in the Dells.

The easiest way is to go to the board or class rep your planning to pull with and ask. Asking on here gets you nowhere when it comes to the LLSS class

At this point people are not wanting to change the engine rules or turbo rules. The weight is pretty clear what clubs want to run. As for the tires , the 30.5 on diesel are an advantage . I have run against a few and have gotten 20 feet put on the 24.5 diesel guys, same engine rules. I like alcohol tractors running either one . There always debate on these rules and over the years we still end up

On the turbo's for diesels. Depends on your association rules . Some are 3by4 smooth bore for Ecitpa , BSTP. Wtpa , and others are either 3by 4 map or 3.4by 4. And yes alcohol are 3by 4 smooth bore.
