So your saying the hell with the other diesel motor options because their not true LLSS ? Nice outlook!!

It's nice to hear about the history on this class. But as technology grows and has the ability to improve HP in the class , what's next as to the future of this class? I always see the ( if it's not broke don't fix it), will technology change that issue? Will parts be available?

Clark we have them going up all over up here in northwestern corner of Illinois. I heard lease was around 800-900 an acre fo 30 years. You can't farm it for the price there paying. Just wait a few years , people think grocery store prices are high now.

To Fno- John asked a simple question about the if there's a future for components in LLSS? There's nothing heads up about this class . Example 3 x 4 smooth bore , 3 x 4 map enhancement, 3.4 x 4 . Is that heads up? How many 410 with coolers do you have down south? Maybe we our in are little world up north, we're not asking for you too change, nobody ever has shown up to any of ou

To LBB . To answer the 470 option honestly, we have more tractors jointing because they don't want the 470 option in the rules.

I have pulled at 6100 with 200# of moveable in ISP light super class and thats with running a intercooler and water in the block. So don't accuse my tractor of being heavy. All John and I are asking is there a future where LLSS will have a component option? When John put is question out people I knew people would have there undies all wadded up. It's a question? So don't go attack

Nobody is saying cast it is wrong. When you start removing cast from the inside of the rear to make it lighter do you weaken it ? Will this add more options for color if component chassis was an option? I don't want to see all LLSS have to be component or make you have it ,but for guys building to have that option to because parts are unavailable or hard to find.

Remember this and I will use the IH brand. Rear end for small tractors probably ended making in early 80s. So 40 year old cast that's the newest version everything else is older and harder to find and still hogging out the rear end to make weight. In 10 years will they be available or will somebody remake it? And aftermarket parts with out spending a Fortune because of availability. Would co

John is serious this time. 30year old rules using 50-60 year old OEM parts . This needs to be looked at with an open mind . We all alter OEM or build for strength or use Profab transmission connected to OEM rear end parts. I don't like the idea of hogging out the cast rear ends just to lose weight this would solve these problems and run at a lower weight like everyone wants it at. Is this ho

John we did have that happen this last year , turbo , cubic inch , he was teched before the pull and made an exhibition run after our class was done. People make mistakes , it just happened to a LLSS event.

Dick this does fall on the one that made the decision. But 4 years ago when the National Rules came out everyone bitched about the weight. And it's still and issue people bring up. We all know what everyone runs. The what's and should haves are water under the bridge, someone made a mistake on changing the weight, but the show still must go on .

Mr Bailey asked for a legitimate reason? Not because your buddy can't make weight or comparison to LSS or we want it like it used to be. Most people watching a show, which we are paid to put on want to see a good show. I have pulled at 6000,6100,6250, 6350, 6500 ,6700 and 7000 so myself I don't care. The reason we use the weight we use is the tech official felt we put on a better show

Mr Charlie Brown your right. I pull in this class and the bitching has always been about weight and what it should be. I can't pull the heavyweight or I don't like the lightweight and that your right. What's nice about this class if you build your tractor to all the different weights that different clubs offer there is no problem period that you can't pull. And crap like this d

Jake this whole thing should have been solved at the scale with all the class deciding if this was ok with everyone. I do think it was the wrong decision. But everyone should have had a voice and this falls right on the promoter or person in charge for letting this happen.

I am sure it wasn't the NTPA directly, who was in charge of the pull made that call. Was it right maybe not, if the guy weighed 6400 then you should have too. If there was safety violations with said tractor then is when problems are created. Did he win with the extra 150#?

After the last 2 years the word (Mandate) shouldn't be used any more. I am not trying to be an ass , but most of us are tired of it. I understand that things in a reasonable fashion should change, because of safety concerns and the money spent on tractors. The good old days are history we learn from , not go back too. Technology will keep advancing even if limits are inforced .

I have followed your post on other topics before you started this one. So it's based off your assessment of component in 2000hp and over. First your asking everyone to spend more money , which they all have spent, now if component were allowed right of way there wouldn't be problem with your opinions. Second for the promoters to go to a all component show , cost of the show would greatl

Go and add up what it would cost the promoters to go all component classes compared to non? Will the promoters risk high cost of a pull and make money putting on the pull. This whole post is about safety and components = high cost to build and keep pulling. So the root cause still is did everyone follow safety guidelines ? If they did then this is cause for this discussion about components. But I

I find this post interesting from a pullers view. Just because something breaks , everyone yells component. First off a lot higher HP tractors all ready have custom parts made out of billet with built-in added support for extra HP. When something happens I want to find the root cause , did a lifter break causing the valves to close , with all that boost not able to exit , something going to give

At the top of most of the Winter National rule usually started by PPL/NTPA / Outlaw. So they are use association rules. For one PPL has always been 150 on fuel the dielectric test and I think NTPA is too . So you use your association going to this pull . The rules seem pretty clear.
