Re: Will Bowling Green even get 25 entries in 4.1? - Yesterday

They probably got double that many applications. I hate the cap,it breaks a major tradition of the pulls history. Ive been going for 53 years to watch hooks of trs I dont see but once a year, now theres a limit. Why limit them and not the other classes. Im a hardcore bg person,im totally in it for the 5-6 days were there, but, all the changes are giving me a less excited feeling of going, instead

Re: What puller has hooked the most times? - 12 days ago

For g.n events only, with current pullers I'd say Esdon lehn or Kevin schmucker for tractors. Trucks gotta be Holman bros.

Re: From I read!!! - 22 days ago

For me personally I ust to despise watching the 4x4 gn class.class.i loved the ss,ps,and sf,I especially liked the old 55 ss.ss.the vehicles looked proportional in size to the tires, now its exactly the opposite, massive hoods on trs,all hemis in 4x4,twd,mini,and mod, just flat boring to me.every tr class is 466 based and 99 percent red and green blocks, ugh.the tr classes haven't helped themsel

Re: From I read!!! - 24 days ago

Im a 50 plus year fan/participant in the sport.sport.sport.sport.with 80 percent of the fan base having communications in thier pocket, and noise makes it hard to hear, the sport could benefit from using that.granted my heyday was 70s/80s,and the youths heyday isn't here yet.yet.its 2 vastly different outlooks to the sport, that i doubt will ever meet on common ground.

Re: What is the number 1 things pulling can do to grow the sport? - 27 days ago

Id surely think displaying and starting a 4 engine mod and a ssd tr at the major nhra events would bring some new fans.having 2 similar ss trs there 1 with hood on and other with no sheetmetal, exposing the motor, would draw huge interest..and a person there to answer questions correctly would be a big plus.

Re: The people that had a big impact on pulling! - 2 months ago

Id add the people that bailed out ntpa, along with Dave haley.for general pulling I'd say chuck vogel and Julian stahl have sold more parts than anyone.dick cepek in the tire dept, his tires dominated 3 classes for decades.

Re: Sandpile wins - 2 months ago

Quoteavercusauto Nope, still a dick move. I don't care if it is legal. Have the announcer explain to the crowd that a puller is gong to just bump the sled because he doesn't want to be test hook. You are intentionally wasting time because you don't want to be test hook. And now the 2nd puller in the class is the test puller without the option to come back. And what happens if they

Re: Sandpile wins - 2 months ago

Quoteavercusauto Patches, I am sorry, but that is a dick move there. I personally do not care to be 1st puller. But I would never do that. I am sorry, but that is an absolute waist of time, hurts the show, and screws over the 2nd puller in the class. I get what you are saying and the reasoning on why. But if that is the mentality someone has, than I hope they leave their stuff home. Not a dick mo
