Re: Bowling Green - 10 months ago

Iin the early to mid eighty I loved watching 40+ of everything simply because there was a great variety of all brands of hooded tractors representing the classes, not every single tractor being 400 series based and red or green...the mods were awesome with over a dozen different types of powerplnts, and not many frame/fender designs looking close..the trucks had a huge variety of powerplants used t

Re: Will there be pulloffs at Bowling Green? - 11 months ago

Since all the gn guys hook together now.why not in a class of 40 pros 4 heats of 10 with top ten it's being 1 heat, say heat 1 is that..so top 2 from heat 1,top 1 from heat 2,3,4.guaranteed only 5 in pulloff.works great for other kinds of pulling..win your group of 10 get to pulloff

On the covered grandstand side ,behind the tall open bleachers,is the ticket booth at roughly 400 ft ish..those bleachers "funish line tower" shouldn't be a problem.on height were in rows 16,17,18 and can see both tracks very well start to finish.i wouldn't go no lower than row 10 either, and get closer to the coveted ones seems better,we've been there since the 70s

Re: USA East full pull component in limited pro/super farm - 11 months ago

Dick,if 40 years ago the leadership on the national association could have seen the future and made all tractor classes under 7500 lbs 410 cubes and all classes over 7501 lbs 540 cubes, not 1 brand of manufacturer would have been left out,all blocks and hoods would have matchef, there would be no need for component chassis, the sport would be thriving..the difference in classes from bottom to top wo

Re: USA East full pull component in limited pro/super farm - 12 months ago

Says component superfarm too. I do get the hp issue and breakage,I do get it's easier to work on,and I do get the availability of other chassis. But as a old fan I think doing away with the ag chassis in all classes hurts, and I know I'm in the minority.

Being an t1d(insulin dependant diabetic) food and drink is very important to me,carbohydrates are our worst enemy.ill use the biggest pull as an ex,there is not 1 food item for sale on the grounds that I'm aware of ( in my going for 50 years) that's friendly to the diabetic lifestyle.when I was young my parents always carried food for me,and I continue to everywhere I go,it's extre

Re: Are the pullers being treated fairly ? - 1 year ago

Dick,I feel like in today's tech world a speed board, along with the distance board would benefit pulling greatly. It doesn't matter if it's 2 mph antiques, garden tractors,or any class in pulling, when a speed board is visible we all look at it,everyone does, then some convo takes place between hooks, and 50 % of the time that's mentioned. Remember years ago the world's big

Re: ? for pullers& officials (test puller) - 1 year ago

2 wheelers could solve this easily, but the entire class would have to agree to do so.. Every entry hooks and drops tp the bottom,it's legal, and your option on a less than 100 ft hpok.every entry does a sled bump and drop to bottom.throw the sanctioning body under the bus, makes a 30 hook class into a 60 hook class, legally.the add tow off time.the sanctioning body would learn real quick the

Re: ? for pullers& officials (test puller) - 1 year ago

I got an old vhs tape from fonda years ago shotgun red had to make the pulloff,300 ft,then the pulloff run 300 ft,another pulloff run 300 feet, then another pulloff run. Total of 4 hooks as hard as it could run with no breaks..that's exciting for a fans view.

wild thing / kwiatkowski - 1 year ago

Years ago at a pull in missouir,I think, they made a hook with the exhaust fumes being colored white, kinda like steam. Anyone know if it was as simple as a high pressure nozzle in the exhaust pipes after turbos spraying tap water ? Or was thier more to it,could the alcohol exhaust be colored black with water and black food coloring,or coffee ??

Re: How does pulling showcase the HP in each class? - 1 year ago

I use an app on my phone and compared ig to my datalogger,it acts as a speedometer and tachometer.its surprisingly accurate to know competitors gear ratios they hooked in,very simple math that it does on its own.

Re: How does pulling showcase the HP in each class? - 1 year ago

Use the phone as our screen in the bleachers. It would be nice to see data like being talked about in realtime, like results are posted. Wouldn't a wifi antenna work ?. Probably be against the betting site by providing info.. Also some kind of moisture detector would be great to watch along how tracks change. What data could be displayed to make this actually fan engaging between hooks.

Oughta be a speed board visible at every track.. If the world's largest pulls catchphrase for over 20 yrs has been race tractors, the dammit do it,don't talk about it !! Even most gt clubs around me have a speed board

Re: The pull in Morehead, KY has been rescheduled for November 8-9 2024 to debut innovative new technology. - 1 year ago

So by the pic this thing sucks the smoke outa the air via a vaccum, then blows white air out ?? I'd think the vacuum signal would have to be substantial stronger than the exhaust vertical pressure, have to be a good sweeper to suck the pressure from a vertical path on a ssd, hope it's tried outside first
