Yes,
They dump people that use hundreds of gallons of oil a month (at least) to sponsor people that might change their own (5 quarts at a time) because of Brandon Bernstein and Morgan?? I still don't understand the optics nor the bean counters on this one as I have understood that pulling paid it's own way.

9700 as far as Boxler's tractor you would have to ask Boxler's or my brother Ernie. I haven't worked with him nor spoke to him in 5 years so I have no knowledge of that
project.

Just got back from Chaos Fabrication's open house in Washington,PA and must give a shout out to Kevin Campbell and Eric Gapen.
I've met both before but never had been to the shop. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. I drove out to help a
customer make a test hook and ended up being the one that got all the help. We had problems and they both bent over backwards

I can help with your data recorder questions. I am a dealer for Randy at RPM Performance and have been since 1995, can help with install, or do it for you.
Available almost 24/7 for help and sell for the same price as direct from RPM.
Our business is almost 100% pulling tractors so I've seen and sold for about every combination. Call with any questions you might have and I'll be

What are the turbo limits for different variances?? That might help answer your questions.....3.4 or 3.6 for the 470 c.i. and down from there?
There are dyno classes that have a ton of info for all the combinations that you are discussing.
I might add that some are highly refined and have been beat on the dyno to death!!!!!
It has become another single turbo 466 class that has 100 plus dynos r

Tuffy,
Just a FYI, Jacob Fuqua's tractor is not a Blackbourn tractor, although the other 4 you mentioned are out of his stable.
Jacob Fuqua and Brice Terry
are both products out of Conner Fuel Systems (Bryan Conner and Brice Mosley) in Milan, Mo.
This years class is probably the toughest class of light supers ever at Louisville, so
whoever wins it will definitely earn it..

We recently finished 12 rods with those very dimensions for a JD tractor. We, CFS, have taken over Earp Machine's
rod building business and are building rods using his design and fixtures.
We can supply what you need and have many out there running in our vehicles.

Brice,
Thank you for your response and explanation, I wasn't quite sure what or why you had discontinued having them there. For sure a top level facility and well run show and would have enjoyed going back to see my favorite classes again, but I do understand. Good luck with your show this year as I am sure it will be great!

Mr Brice Howell,
My question for you is: you have had alcohol tractors in the past and continue to have alcohol powered vehicles, why are you not having alcohol powered super stock tractors there now?
Is it because of the short ceilings, or what?
Because the supercharged belt driven alcohol guys tell me, they burn more fuel than any of us puny 6 cylinders guys that the hp is not even cl

Puller,
Looks like Lewis Conner (no relation) has answered most of the questions you asked, but to answer the question of cubic inch, the series 40 Detroit were 466 and 530 ci in original format, later renditions of the DT/Maxxforce were 466 and 570 ci respectively.

Pink Panther, sorry I have not responded about the LLSS question.
I have only been involved in a few of these tractors, but I am interested in doing more with them.
In fact I am doing a fuel system for one now.
I have given input to a select few that seems to have helped those individuals perform better.
But as I mentioned my experience is limited and Lewis is correct, Blackbourn is one

JUST A FAN, I will try to clear this up once and for all. Too Hy-Strung does NOT have any of Ernie's performance parts in it.
The head is a Bamber Engineering head.
It is a series 40 Detroit because Brice Terry wanted to stay true to AC and AGCO.
I know for a fact if he had it to do over it would be based on the DT466 platform.
While they share head bolt patterns, camshaft, cr

NFMS Fan, thank you for your kind words, I would expect to see Jason Hootman at LV even if he does sell his engine.

In the beginning there was some of my brothers work on the tractor, but ALL reciprocating parts have been replaced with our own

I don't know what you consider "cheap" but I can sell you a quality RPM brand data recorder with 1 rpm, six egts, battery voltage, on/off event recorders, and is expandable to 5 pressures without other modules for $1303 plus shipping. You can add pressures for $136 per channel up to a total of 5 and a dash for $620 in the future if you like so it is easy to resell to other pullers or expand

To reply to Wanting,
First of all, there are many competent, talented builders available in this day and age.
Second of all, Conner Brothers do not exist any more, we have both gone our own ways for various reasons and I do not work with my brother any more.
Third of all, I am available, have built many things in the last few years that I think represent me quite well, have fixed many tractor

I have several memories of the first alcohol tractors out there, I was born in 1960 and followed the archaic news channels we had back then through my fathers magazines and engineering books. I don't know that I could add much to the conversation except the first I remember of the guys on alcohol was the Hill Bros and Ron Schafer (sp) from Illinois. That was only because of Ollie Sch

Just pull end cap off, yank old seal however you can without damaging axle seal area, carefully bend new seal around the axle, gently press(punch) new seal into seal retainer, put a very small amount of silicone at juncture of seal and reinstall the cap.
That's it.
