Isspro makes them that run off of the balancer as well using magnets. Scheid diesel sells them.

Do you have a manual? It tells you how to check and adjust pressure for the perma clutch. This is done at the clutch regulating valve housing. The shim will raise pressure 3-5 psi per shim so you will need 7-10 of them, they are available from your dealer. The regulating valve is located (as if sitting on the tractor) the left side under the battery box on the side of the transmission. There

I'm using a sureflow sprayer pump. Supposed to be 40 psi about 1.8 gpm, continuous run, not on demand.

If you look on columbus diesels site I think they make a 500 or a 540 head and rotor. When their that big I dont know how reliable they are. Most people I have heard of say 330cc of fuel out of a 45 head and rotor. If you change engines are you allowed to change to the 466 or would that not make it legal?

Can you run the 4430 style block with the a pump on the 4320 or do your rules not allow?

That is the size of the exhaust housing. I'm not sure if there is 1 size smaller than that or not, you may want to call scheid diesel and ask them. The tractor won't keep that turbo spooled up?

The aftermarket ones everyone sells is only the top for the cab tractor. Haslag steel makes reproduction ones for i think $750 a set. The only place to find good new factory ones is through deere at $750 a piece. good luck finding one at a salvage yard.

I've heard anything over 190 might be hard on the clutch packs for the quad range. Also, you need to change the bolt to a heavier grade on the oil filter housing or it may break from the increased pressure.

The 4240 head/late 4430 head should be the same (maybe even a 4040 and 4440) as long as they all have the KDEL injectors. Do you have a casting number? I looked on deere parts and there are 3 or 4 with casting numbers that interchange, the one that came to mind for me was the R58044.

System Accessories. I ordered one and specified diesel fuel they just sold me a standard issue one, no re-working involved. They said the viton and other type of seal used for chemicals probably would not be the best for diesel and sold a more common one for $115.

You could also run a shurflo sprayer pump that runs all of the time, not one that cuts out. 40-60 psi, 60 or more gph. There are some listed From Agri Mart for a cheap price, give them a call.

You could stroke it some or have the block bored to accept the larger sleeves, then you take a chance of the sleeves leaking water past the bottoms into the oil if not done correctly. How big are you wanting to go? It may be easier to use the 404 as a core and go to the 466 where the aftermarket sleeves will drop in without boring.

Hello:
I've got a turbo (Borg Warner S2E114). Exhaust measures 2.6", I'm not sure what size you would call the intake. It has a step inside of it. At the outer edge its 2.6", but inside the step where the wheel protrudes, it is only 2.1", is that a 2.1 or 2.6" inlet? Which turbo would be bigger, this S2 or a 3lm thats 2.3 x 2.75?

On wimers site, for the same pump simms vs Bosch A, (same size Barrels and Plungers) the simms is 300 cheaper. I guess you could call them and ask, the only thing about the simms is stock appearing and you dont have to worry about adapter plates.

I think wimers in Pennsylvania on their website have injection pumps listed for this application.

Yea it sure is a beauty, i think the air cleaner makes it look better (more original). So does the big round fenders and the side shields even go back farther than most making it look like the dust shields most wheatland tractors had. Good looking tractor.

It looks like 4 3/4" bore and 6" stroke to make 638, 4 7/8" bore and 5 3/4" stroke to make 644. Have block bored for bigger sleeves, custom pistons and maybe different rods, it would probably be a good idea to get rid of stock cam driven oil pump and run an external one. How new of a 404 block is it? What type of injection pump are you going to run?

That link i had posted above is for sure flow distributor in georgia. Call them tell them the flow and pressure you want for diesel fuel at 12vdc. They will have what you want if you want an electric one.

You can get them either way. The 643 for compatability with diesel fuel, then either on demand or constant.

I believe the shurlfow 643 is the one you want for diesel fuel, as the 543 is for chemicals. You will have to run a different fuel filter as the stock will break if overpressurized. You can call Wade Jackson at Southern Kentucky Pulling Parts for a contact for the pre bent lines.

With that fuel at 3000 rpm, youre saying the 2.6x2.75 turbo was too big? The 2.3x2.75 is a better choice?
Thanks

What was that 3lm "special" you said was too big? What do you run for speed limits? Do you have any more fuel or is 250cc your max?
