What about a 4030, the bellhousings would be the same for the 329 engine, unless in the 4010 you are building a component with a different way to mount engine, transmission, rear end.

nicest setup I saw was a regular 4010 manifold with exhaust outlet cut down and a flange made onto manifold for turbo to bolt on, then madeup the elbow to go out original hole. You could get a combine manifold and mount turbo in front but you would have to put exhaust out side screen. If using a stock charger with a stock manifold for 466T it will clear by maybe a finger width but anything bigg

Are your bearings stock off of the shelf? Are your troubles with the main or rod bearings? I believe clevite makes an H series bearing (rather expensive) but not sure whether for main and rod or just one of them for JD, pretty sure they're offered for both on IH.

What is the s 300 turbo off of? If its off a mack or something, it could probably use a smaller exhaust housing, if it came off of a 8.1L deere it should be fine. How did you have your block bored? Was the block just straight bored and a groove cut in the sleeve? I've heard of people doing it this way, then using permatex in the groove to keep it from leaking, isn't this a cheap fix for such an expensive objective?

If you go to a 466 (there are several on this site) you will want to go to a later engine with the crank driven oil pump. I think the 466 cranks may have 1 or 2 more holes than the 404. This also depends on what clutch setup you go with. Some aftermarket ones require an 8 bolt pattern with larger holes, which if this is the case, you'll have to have it drilled and tapped.
