The one I have is 2.3" in 2.75" out, its a 3lm-466. I think the others are 2.5in 2.7 out but dont think they are "out of the box".

Where can I get a good head gasket for a sbjd turboed making around 40 psi of boost? Wanting to install a better head gasket than stock while head is off but dont want to pull pistons to have fire rings cut yet. Is copper the only way to go or are others made that are just as strong? It seems copper gaskets are high maintenance and like to leak water into cylinders.

How much horsepower will the perma clutch hold in stock form? Can the bosch A pump be bolted in instead of the DM roosamaster pump? Are there two different injection pump drive gears, one for each pump, or are they the same? Are the pencil injectors ok to keep with the inline pump if you are going to run a 400cc pump? What is the best exhaust manifold to use when running a 3lm with 241 exhau

So, a 466 deere is 4.56" bore x 4.75" stroke=466ci. If you left the bore stock, stroked the crank 3/4", that would be 540. If you used a deck plate you could use a stroker crank with stock rod length and stock pistons? What would the thickness of your deck plate be, 1/2 of your increased stroke, in this case 3/8"? Where do you groove for your fire rings, in the deck plate or the head?

What's the easiest way to build the 466 deere into a 515? If you stroke the 466 crank 1/2", you will take off 1/4" from top of pistons, is that too thin? What if you want to install a cam and need .250" valve reliefs. Can you use the pistons stock, stroke the crank 1/2", then use IH rods?

make it 9500 or 10500 # 505ci class with what ever pump you want with a tire size (20.8-38) and turbo size (2.5x2.7 or 2.7x3). Then the 504 case, 505 cummins, 466 deere, 466 ih, 478 hercules can all run.

Is this charger a 3lm or a s300? You can get a 231,241, and I think bigger exhaust housings but running 3000 rpm a 241 should be fine. Did you degree your camshaft after getting it ground? What did berry's recommend for injection pump timing? It seems if you advance it too far it can make em run hot and hurt performance. Maybe try backing it down 10-15* and try running it again.

What would they have come out of? The ones I know of are some 850 dozers, 9650 combines, power units. Every one I've seen has a P pump mount.

The 496 came from the factory with a P pump, so if you HAD to have an A pump then you will need an adapter. A few places make them and i think they are around $400.

Many people sell them. You want a 2 disk, probably a 3 to be durable. Look in the builders section on this site or in the for sale section. Places like TPP, Kennys pulling parts, GMS. Where are you located?

I would use stanadyne fuel conditioner but lucas, cenpeco, amsoil and many others make it. I've also heard of people using automatic transmission fluid but not sure how that works.

I have been told that the front half of a 55 series exhaust manifold will work. That will allow for the s300 or 3lm with the 241 exhaust housing to bolt on. Call a salvage yard or abinene machine. Hope this helps.
