Then you could custom tune that combo by having different size holes for 1/2 of the scroll? Interesting.

I was approached by a Bio Diesel supplier to run 100% bio in my 500hp IH 414 1066. On the plus side= The exhaust smelled like french fries. And it cleaned the junk out of the fuel system On the minus side my tractor was down on HP and torque enough to notice it from the stands, It cleaned the junk out of the tank and plugged the fuel filters and injectors. After the off season I

A long time ago I was influenced by GW Sawtelle from Delavan Wisconsin.. I watched his 806 go from a new field tractor to a stout competitor. Also Al Hogan with his "Hogans Hero" tractors.

Keep in mind that as RPMs go up so does the possibility of a flywheel-clutch explosion. Be safe.

I am building one for myself. For most it might not make any sense. For me I love the build, trying to figure out how to make it run as well as I can. I agree IF you shop carefully you can find a puller for less that you can build for. But I have seen a few butcher jobs that some try to sell too. Have fun however you do it.

Is it possible that you are twisting the clutch fork shaft? I see some install a tool steel or larger diameter shaft.

I just made hubs that fit the IH spindle with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. That way I had a wide selection of wheels to pick from.

One of the best additives to make pulling more interesting is an old recipe that Dad handed down to me.
2oz Canadian Wiskey
3/4 oz Sweet red vermouth
A dash of bitters
Maraschino cherry. And repeat.

Straight Glycol freezes at 8 degrees. 24 degrees less than water. Glycol is between 5 and10 percent less efficient than water for heat transfer but the additional drop in fluid temp should make up that deficiency easily. I assume the trick would be to chill it to 10 degrees and hold that temperature for the pass. Could you trap dry ice in a tank and cool the glycol but not freeze it?

Has anyone tried a layer of dry ice then water ?.
Dry ice is -109F if you dump water on it you will have just water ice. I would assume that dry ice with Glycol would work as long as you make sure you do not freeze your tank.

I was watching a video of a hot diesel engine on the dyno, they showed 3 nozzles spraying into the face of the compressor wheel. Looks like lots of water. I always understood that this is a bad thing to do (compressor erosion) Has that thinking changed? Just curious.

This is very basic But make sure that the center of the draw bar is centered EXACTLY between the rear wheels. (dont ask how I know this) Many pullers use a air balance line for the rear tires to equilize the pressures.
