I am building a spring suspended front axle for my 9500# open 466 tractor. It should have somewhere around 2500-3500# on the front axle. Wondering what spring rate is being used?

You will never get laminar air flow in an engine intake ducting.
Exactly, BUT less turbulence is better. This is why extrude hone has been done on many engines. This is why the new plastic intake manifolds are gaining popularity.

The difference in volume between a turbulent airflow and laminar flow is very significant. Think of the inside of your charge air pipe as you would an airplane wing. Smooth is better.

I would like a tire that has a flat tread profile.

The wider the radius of the 90 bends has a lot to do with how much the pipe flows. Just be aware that friction increases as you bend the airflow because airspeed increases on the outside of a elbow.

Maybe those that are really worried about drone spying should fasten a large solar panel on their head. Charge the cell phone and block the drone camera. Its a win win deal.

You can help your model 100 by making sure there is sufficient supply. Add an additional tank vent, the stock fuel cap vent can cause a vacuum in the tank. You can dual feed your primary fuel filter by using the stock fuel tanks drain port to go to the bleeder side of the primary filter. And a electric fuel supply makes a difference. Some guys gut the stock lift pump and drill out the stock

Aqua tiger 9700B for a water pump seems to be popular last time I searched the forums.
Reading the specs on the 9700b it says max psi of 70 psi. I don’t think that is enough psi to overcome manifold pressure

Years after my first pull in 1960 I got involved with Micro Mini Ertl pulling. Did that for about 4-5 -years. Went to the national pull in Dyersville Iowa and won the SS 5# class with my 1086!! In the winter the bars in my area of SW Wisconsin had Stomper 4X4 pulling on the bartops. That actually was fun is you were 1/2 s--t faced. I bought my 1066 in 1996 and modified it for a 12,000# 1

I put a Dodge Flathead 6 in a narrow front Massey 44 years ago. Just a rod to the carb. I had that up to 48mph ONCE! Kind of a harry ride, I would never do that now.

The base chemical in mothballs is Naphthalene. Some gasoline has up to 1% Naphthalene in it. You have to understand that I was 10 years old when I did this (60 years ago) so dont get on my case. I do not know if modern mothballs are chemically similar.

Dads 1949 MM UTU, Elkhorn Wisconsin Walworth county Fair, I think it was in 1959 or 1960. I was 10 or 11 years old. I drove the U about 15 miles to the fairgrounds. Stopped along the way and bought a box of mothballs, dumped them in the gas tank and went pulling. I must not have placed well, because I dont remember anything about that. They used a step on sled. Glad it could cheer you up, Gonzo!
I took the laptop and put it on the hood of the tractor I am building, Strapped into the seat and played your video. Maybe a bit crazy for someone in my advanced years. But it made me smile.

I too prefer not to whine too much on how things are going to change.. SO I am still working on my IH 5088 build. It has a LONG way to go before it makes a pass down the track, but I enjoy the build. The setback should give me some extra time to complete the project.

Where I lived in WIsconsin years ago 3-4 of the local taverns would have bartop Stomper pulls. Someone figured out how to put a 9v battery in one.. Pulled like crazy but that little motor would not last too long. I had a backstock of standby units.

My 7000# 666 with 20.8 38 radials at 19psi would hop so hard that all 4 tires would be off the ground. At 25psi she would just hunker down and pull, very happy with those tires.
