In a "uncut class" I used to spin my tires backwards on very rough cement in a mist of water to road wear them with an edge. Worked very well and no one caught on.

When I switched to radials on my 12000# 12mph tractor the difference was very noticeable, More bite further down the track, My big adjustment is getting the air pressure right to avoid power hop.

I know it is stock bore and stroke, Has a innercooler I did not get a chance to measure the turbo but looked to be about 4" inlet. Has 24.5x32 rears on alloy wheels. New Holland Sheetmetal. I will try to post some photos of it. later.

Gonzo why don't you have your buddy talk to the guy he bought it from?
I came out of Alberta Canada,( he got it out of Illinois or Wisconsin we think) The guy that had it went bankrupt and it was purchased at a bank. So the trail is a bit cold.

One of by puller buddies just bought a Ford diesel tractor puller, It was built in Southern Wisconsin or Northern Illinois. Who is well versed on these tractors? He will need a head gasket and 0-rings for it. AND lots of advise Thanks in advance.

After watching my friend get knocked out on his 4430, I ordered a road race style Kerky seat with head bolsters on it. That makes a lot of difference with how far your head can swing side to side in a violent ride.

I agree Massive volume of air out the stack. Assuming that there are big pumping losses with the corrigations in the tube and the bends, Maybe twice the size would be a good place to start?

I saw a Fuel car clutch go into the stands at Union Grove Wisconsin a long time ago. Killed 3 people. We all need to over protect all things that can get loose.

Because cool fuel is slightly denser than hot fuel, it carries more BTUs per pound of fuel. This is a well known fact, just google HOT FUEL in Arizona truck stops. The article talks about hot fuel (stored above ground) at ambient temperatures 100 degrees+ is lighter per gallon than cold fuel. The lighter gallon of fuel will get you fewer miles down the road. Because most diesel pullers can

I would keep the turbo as close as possible to the heat that generates the power to compress the intake air.

Atlas 3 speed Humpco billet differential outboard brakes and a atlas 3 disc in a 4010 clutch housing. I drive the stock transmission oil pump whenever the pinion turns. That oil dumps over the transmission gears and lines the bearings.

Compressor efficiency. A more efficient compressor will heat the air less Your idea of fins on the crossover pipe is not practical considering the volume and speed of the compressed air. This team why intercoolers are in most turbocharged engines. The coolers slow the charge air and have massive surface area to cool the intake air. Cooler air is more dense (contains more oxygen) than hot a

I have found over the years that 200hp is easy with a T-04 and opened stock pump. Change to a 3-LM466 good injectors and good 10mm pump with a cut delivery valve and extra internal linkage work 250 to 275 hp. Add water methanol injection for another 25-50 hp Up from that a 13mm pump with a good supply pump, injectors and bigger lines, a more aggressive turbo gets you on the way. Running

I have been pondering. I have worked on some drag race engines. One turned 8800 rpm in the traps. Does The relatively slow rpm (at mid track) of a diesel pulling engine warrant a windage tray? I assume if the pan is deep the crank windage would not be relevant
