Without promoters or clubs/associations there would be no pulling.
Here's a short list of icons in that respect
Ed Hart - First President of the NTPA. On site of the formation many important events and personally promoted some of them. His fingerprints are all over this sport.
The NWOTPA - No NWOTPA, no BG.
The Owensboro Gang - A meeting in the home of Billy Joe Miles in 1968

The big picture here initially focuses on how we embrace technology and it's effect on society in the future. Whatever changes we've had in the previous 10 years will pale in comparison to what we will deal with in the next 5 years.
A.I. is a coming issue to deal with in many respects. It could eliminate a bunch of jobs, which leaves many with free time on their hands (thus searchi

Pro Pulling League Makes Significant Rule Change for 2023
Sellersburg, Indiana (January 27, 2023) – Motorsports have evolved from their rustic beginnings in the early 20th century, all under the premise of the need to acquire more speed, more power, more performance. Truck and Tractor Pulling is no different; from the moment that Ed Hart mounted that first set of 30.5x32 tires to his D21 for m

Solid Junk was a cool tractor but not a controversial tractor. It offered a glimpse of what could happen when the stars aligned and an alcohol tractor ran to its potential. The Conner John Deere was pulling 5-7-9 I believe and that was far more worrisome; the Bad Medicine 2-180 was the tipping point where pseudo-component driveline of a Oliver/White platform was utilized and consistent laps sta

You stick a roof over an event and that expense is likely #1 or #2, depending on if an event is sanctioned or not. Building rental has always been expensive but since the COVID year fees have risen dramatically. Many facilities get real expensive when the clock strikes midnight and a new layer of expense kicks in. The promoter wants to be done before midnight more than anyone else.

Two memories - One was at Freedom Hall for a TNT show that had a pulling track and a monster truck racing track also. My parents and I were seated on the monster truck side opposite the pulling track. I vividly remember one of the Banter 6 engine machines rattling the building.

There are multiple tractors that have had this name but probably the more well known is Josh Miley's High Maintenan$e
Probably the most appropriate name for a pulling tractor or any motorsports competition vehicle for that matter.

is it or is it not practically a rerun every year im 2 hours from the farm show and 2 hours from Murfreesboro i would rather go south
The reality is that every indoor event has X number of pullers that are there every year, by whatever measurement or metric the invitational committee decides.

The problem with any "reality " show is they always try a put a bad spin on it. Pulling is a legitimate motorsport. Points, champions, fair and honest results. Totally opposite than what a reality show will portray. There is nothing real in a reality show.

Approaching this situation with patience and more specifically as a challenge/opportunity/re-organization is FAR more productive than as a closed door never to be opened again.

Jake,
Not complying and standing our ground are not solutions. Here's a thought, lets be PROACTIVE rather than REACTIVE to any perceived challenges that face the sport. Get ahead of the curve, demonatrate and articulate changes, perceived or real, to protect this sport we love.
Advocating and adopting biofuels isnt a horrible idea and its not naive. Marketed and promoted correctly we

You have every right to disagree with me and you know I respect your opinions whether I agree or not.
That being said, you failed in your reply: a suitable alternative to my solution. You more or less in your statement acquiesed to the radical environmentalists, that they control the narrative and there is nothing we can do to counter that.
We might as well give up.
