And tech missed the key ring? Even brush pullers know not to use one of those without welding it!

I set mechanical supply pumps to 75psi @ 2000 rpm. Electric to 75psi @ idle. I use a cartridge relief valve from Sun Hydraulics.

Is that the 1815307, never seen one mounted on a truck but they're on just about every puller or is that the 1819269? There was another thread here a couple weeks/months ago about manifolds (link to thread ) and was mentioned the 269 is better than the 307 but doesn't fit well under the tin, I only ever knew of the 307 as being "the one" until I read that thread. The 307's seem

Last time I checked we were pullers not chemists! I don't have any experience with nitro-xd but you have to run some kind of lube since the diesel these days is such crap.

As for what kind it is, what does it look like? Does it have a flat flywheel with stands to bolt up the pressure plate or is it a "cupped" style flywheel where the pressure plate bolts directly to the flywheel? Do you have button disks or sintered iron? Is it an sfi setup, you may need that for the club you run with? I ask these questions because it may not be worth putting the money into if

If you do get a guy that does his job they want him recalled! Gov Walker has done everything he said he was going to do but the lefties (or anyone who has him sign their check) want him out. I have plenty of family that work state jobs and they cry the blues about what Walker has taken from them. All I say is you work for a "company" that is broke, be happy you still have a job. They could ha

If it is an 8 disk from Allied the disks are already lined up on an internal hub, you can't actually see the individual disks like on previous 5 or 4 disk units. You do have to line up the oil holes on this new type of hub with the holes that are on the quill shaft (should be an instuction sheet in the box which shows this). So line up the holes and slide your assembled quill into it, then

Use to run one, have a guillotine on the turbo with 5" inlet. Used a 5" rubber 45 then a section of 5" aluminum pipe to the stock "cobra" hose (nose to factory airbox). The 5" pipe slipped over the cobra hose. Thought I had a pic of it but cant find it. Had to make a thermostat housing spacer to fit this by the upper radiater hose.

From what I was always told the three r&p are each about 4% apart (so the 13/49 is 8% faster than the 12/49 with the 13/51 in the middle, so it is not quite equal to 1 tooth in the trans which are 6% apart. The 13/49 is fastest at 3.76 (706), 13/51 is in the middle 3.92 (10-1466, maybe 8-1206 also), then the 12/49 is slowest 4.08 (766,966). There is one other that is really fast out of a 1566/

We were running the 8 disk this past season and that part heldup fine, we broke the high side constant mesh which in turn tore out the low side. I believe Jeff said it wrecked the carrier. Fixed the cm gear and finished the season using high. Last time on dyno was making 1050 hp and 2350 tq running 3 or 4 teeth over road at 10500.

I've been told hy-tran is too slippery, its been recommended to use the mineral spirits with hydraulic oil or the caterpillar hydraulic oil. I believe the cat oil is called T04 and the # is 8T-9568. I'd have to check the container but I think that's right. This oil has worked great in both a five and eight disk ta.

Boy, LPS puller sure has it all figured out. I think he forgot it takes a little time to get off the line and get rolling and on the big end when the pan hits you loose some momentum. I have no doubt they are hitting 30mph midtrack. We are doing 28mph with similar rules without the intercooler. It is physically impossible to get down the track in under 10 seconds. Sure unlimited and ss turn

I'm sure the one badger state uses is the Datalog sold by Dennis Frey, all the Datalog rpm boxes can be downloaded if tech wants to go through the trouble, otherwise you will just see the spike that was left in the instant memory recall and deal with it accordingly but hopefully someone has a laptop to actually see the graph and what really happened.

We've twisted a few of them, cut them out with a sawzall. Not alot of fun, used a Milwaukee "torch" blade seemed to work best, had to make two cuts since they seemed to twist around the high side constant mesh. Have since gone to a solid one from Hyper, still running an mcv for the ta and it is setup to turn the ipto gear. Had it apart twice so far and it comes right apart.

You sure do need flow between them. The block does not have the oil galley all the way through between the two plates. I think it is 3/4" (12AN) between there that we use, not 100% sure off the top of my head. I always wanted to drill that out so you could run block off plates, but never had time to look into it if its even possible.

Here is a pic attached of how I did them, one on each side. Had to crop the photo to upload it here. In the pic it is actually in 3 or 4 because the pin is between the two lock holes for 1 and 2. I have other photos of it if you pm me I could try to get them to you. You can buy the locks from mcmaster.

Could it be possible this pump is setup for lube from the motor? I don't know if the internals are the same in the pump for self contained oil. I have never seen a p-pump with an oil inlet that's why I'm asking. Otherwise yes two inlets on the front side, use one on the back for return to tank with a restrictor, cap the other, not sure about the bottom one though. If you run se

Clowns, nice! Like the "other" class, this group has grown also. Before they were organized it was just the a-pump altered class, so they got together and they all had a-pumps so that's how they started off, were they all supposed to buy new p-pumps back then? Now I believe the time is up (this year or next) where possibly p-pumps could be voted in. I'd like to see both those outfit

Assuming he is using the old DT, will the rods miss the liners with that much swing on the crank? Not sure how it would fit with the 4.3" bore. With a 5.75" stroke you would end up at about 501ci with that setup. I always wanted to take an ih 540 (4.625 x 5.35) and try a 6" crank to make it 605 but wasn't sure how it would work, not sure if the rods would miss the liners.

IH hytran is too slippery for a pulling ta, another oil that works good is from cat, don't have the part number handy, could look it up when I get back to my notes tomorrow. The oil and mineral spirits mentioned by black bart works good too.

If I remember right, the 966 has a 12/49 ring and pinion, where the 1066 has a 13/51 r&p, which means the 966 would be about 4% slower, not a big deal though, you can always compensate for that in the speed trans. I'm not sure how the high swirl naturally aspirated (xxx427?) head would work with porting and bigger valves should you decide to use it later for head work.
