I still disagree. I can only speak to the mini class at BG. The purse was $7900 and they pay 15 places. A normal NTPA purse for a one day hook is $3900 and pays 12 places. A two day hook purse is slightly less for each hook. So, the BG purse was twice what the normal purse would be. If they followed through with the other classes, I don't see where your argument holds water. Pullers g

Yes, there were some pullers there last evening, but not many. Puller-wise it is a ghost town, but local camper-wise, there are a LOT. Knapp's, Foster, Koester, Fairbanks, Eilenfeld, Holman's rig (I think), Thompson were some I noticed. There were probably a dozen or so rigs parked in infield. North side chairs are all just about in place and well as about half of south-side. Refus

But, if you are lucky, maybe you can find a BG babe and double up in the separate stall and save hot water. That way the line would go faster and there will be hot water for all!!!!!!!!!! JW

HP gave you all the info you needed, but second on the list would be Molinari. Bob was Crower for many years. But Darren knows pulling, so just call him and not have to worry about it. JW

Max is simply sitting out this year and running a very limited schedule with "Hustler". I don't think he has plans to run "Hawkeye Hemi" at all. Sometimes things are just more important than pulling--like getting away from it for a while. But he sure does run it hard when he does get in the seat!!!! JW

Yes! Traction control devices are specifically illegal in the NTPA as addressed in the rulebook (don't have it in front of me or I would specify). There is even a different protest rule for protesting them (which kinda makes the protest procedure for these devices a moot point). JW

None. Show went off without a hitch that I could see. Schisler on "Under the Gun" won the minis. Feiss on "S'no Farmer Xtreme" won mods. Travis Wisel on "Irrational Behavior" won the Super Farm (is he on a roll or what??). Donnie Williams on "Out'a Control" won the TWD and I am sorry I didn't catch the LSS but "Farmboy's Fantasy" broke enough Friday that they did not comp

Six is not a majority vote. Obviously the shareholders are content with the way the organization is being run or the current leadership would be changed. You are right, there are no shares available right now that I am aware of. The funny thing about all of this discussion is the shares really aren't worth anything monetarily except their face value and they are owned mainly by past or cu

Mr. Thundermaker by Swift and Schafer in recent times in the mini class. Four in a row when the class was strong. Others who "dominated" in the class in earlier years did not have to contend with a rough of a schedule (only 6 or 8 hooks a season). Banters surely in the mod class. And not a driver anymore, but Max Simpson's motors seem to be very good in different puller's vehicles.

There is only one! I might sound like a broken record on this, but, C & P Machine in Fort Wayne Indiana can and will do anything you want to a crankshaft. Time and cost are very good. 260-484-7723 ask for Corey, Phil, or Ed (preferably). They do cranks for one of the major aftermarket diesel tractor engine builders. You will not be disappointed in their work. JW

When talking of minis, I don't think you can count out Lee Swift. Granted, he had top notch equipment, but he knew when to call for the power and when to just ride it out, not to mention two of the "best" crashes a mini has ever taken. JW

First off, not really a tractor name, but, Banter would easily be on the list. Others would be:
4 Play--Holman's
Wild Child--Bob Jostock
Rooster--Danny Dean
Mission Impossible--Tim Engler
Red Line Fever--Esdon Lehn
There are more that should evoke the sport of truck and tractor pulling, but you said five.

Depends on the vehicle--but short answer is big vehicles is maximum height of 10 inches, minis maximum height is 6 inches, TWD maximum height is 6 inches or 10 inches depending on placement. Vertical braces are required as well as spacing apart and that also varies. Good advice is to build them like they are going to be used for what they are--anti-rollover devices. JW

Brad Penn is very good. It is the "original" green Kendall GT-1. It has performed well for us and there are others using it in blown applications that I am aware of: Dennis Horst, Stan Shelton (I assume, since he sells it), Scott Eighmey, Swift/Schisler to anme a few. There are many others. JW

Jake and Dick Morgan are big ripoffs. They don't have a clue about pulling and the front page on this board needs changed. It is past the PPL North Carolina pull and it needs changed. If they weren't so busy spreading their filth and lies, they could have it done!

I may sound like a broken record on this, but only one place...C & P Machine in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Talk to Ed or Phil. They do a lot of JD cranks (and others) for those aftermarket performance JD dealers. They are fairly quick and reasonably priced and their quality is A-1. Telephone number is 260-484-7723 and yhey are easy to get to, right off I-69. JW

No! You should have gone. There was ample room for chair bound people inside right next to the track on either side. I am sure that parking would not have been an issue if you have your pass or if you would have just explained to the parking guides your situation as they were very courteous doing a difficult job. Overall, I enjoyed the evening session. I did NOT enjoy the late starting time.

Yeah, but you have to have horsepower to turn the faster gears, so it really is about traction (pulling) and horsepower--which is what the original pulling game was about, i.e, putting the power to the ground. JW
