And I will add, the way I interpret the rule and been advised is they must be bolts and nuts with the head and nut visible on the outside--not welded in rods so the ends are flush.

Ah, not sure about mini being youngest....Veney is 80s, Rick Peters-over 70, Denny Horst 70+, Tim Rea over 70, I don't drive much anymore, but over 70. Bultemeier, Slagh, Webbs, Bultman, Koester, Toby, Keith Horst, Dave Curtis are high 40s to low 60s. Not sure about the WI, MN, and NC guys, but I know a few of them are over 50. I know I missed some names, but on proportion, mini class is

Minis are a lot easier to drive now than they were about 10 years ago. Back in the day, you had to feel it in your butt. Now it is point and punch. Look at how all the "new" drivers are successful. Rookies who have never sit in the seat of any type of pulling vehicle can win at about any event. Some of the older, more experienced drivers have a little trouble getting used to the new driving

Dick Morgan...exactly! Though we have always had "floating finish". It is just that there has always been a limit and the sled operators/track official would decide if they were going to allow vehicles to get past that limit. Even with a 300 foot track, you were "floated" up to that number. I, too, wish the term "floating finish" had never been introduced to the sport--it is just so confusing

Doesn't traction control slow down wheel speed? In today's trips down the track, wheel speed is a must. So, if you are slowing wheel speed, wouldn't that NOT be the way to go? EFI, as I understand it, it more about efficiency than anything. It is not going to "make" any more power--just allow you to better utilize the potential. System can be had for not much money comparative

Well, I quit putting EFI on the agenda after 5 or so tries. Maybe I will do it again this year. However, as stated EFI won't be the end all right out of the box. It will take a little time to get it to work in pulling applications. JW

Not so fast. They haven't cashed my check yet, so there is no money "sitting" anyplace if you paid by check--at least from my view. In due time. If there was any type of scam going on, I am sure the 250 gamblers would be able to find the Simons and take care of any "business". jmho JW

There are fresh ideas, but what you going to do, when a class rep says, "Fine, we will just park our vehicles and then you won't have a class to sell?" Want us to call the bluff or what? Guidance here, all y'all with the answers.

Well, being one who has struggled with turbos for a couple of years, this conversation is interesting. EFI would help to control the application of power, which is the most difficult part. Timing control would be a big advantage. The mechanical fuel system is the hardest to do because basically, you are on your own. When we started (we knew less than nothing about turbos), no one--Enderle, Hi

Just how many MORE fans would attend if the class was added? It is a marginal monetary decision. Extra classes means more payout. No extra fans at least equal to that payout equates to less bottom line (profit) for the promoter (let's not forget that the promoter must show a profit or the show does not happen). Either that or a different class must be dropped.

Is this the old Butterfly truck? If it is, there is a reason for the air horn at the end. I have been told many times that there are switches that control the air suspension on semis and the horn blowing at the conclusion of the run is to bleed the air from the system to let the truck settle to it's prehook height. Whether the horn is manual or preset, I do not know. Just what I have bee
