Re: MASTERSON VS SIMON - 9 months ago
SFarmer, I had intended to also mention that the PPL site is the hardest to navigate. Granted I'm using my android phone, however every time I try a view their live results it's almost impossible. I don't understand why people that write computer code can't figure out that never everyone has a PHD in computer science. You always need to know your target audience. Re: MASTERSON VS SIMON - 9 months ago
Still don't agree, the Outlaws app is so far superior to NTPA and PPL that it needs to be pointed out. The NTPA results page is so difficult to navigate. You have Super National, Grant National, GN with regional classes, Pro National. Region 1 through something and ect. It,s the worst site of the 3 National organizations. As comparing the NTPA is definitely the leader in safety rules.by Dick Morgan - Forum
Re: MASTERSON VS SIMON - 9 months ago
I don't agree that a friendly comparison is harmful to the sport. There are rivalries in all aspects of sport. Heck the what makes sports interesting. Red vs Green was one of the things that made the sport exciting.by Dick Morgan - Forum
Outlaws app - 9 months ago
I wish NTPA and PPL would take a look at the Outlaws app. It is far and away the best tool to get information to the fans. The results page is almost instantly updated. It's hard to find results on either the NTPA or PPL web site The Outlaws do an excellent job. .by Dick Morgan - Forum

Re: How do you explain difference in single charger classes to a newbie? - 9 months ago
That is one of the biggest problems with most hooded diesel tractors they basically all look the same Granted there are a couple classes that run a different size tire. But overall it's mostly all the same. Same distance down the track, almost the same speed going down the track. I know there will be a group that will come on here and say if you can't tell a PS from a SF then your noby Dick Morgan - Forum

Re: Full Pull Interview and Answers - 10 months ago
I did listen and I found that they want to grow pulling, that should be every one's goal. Other than that I'm still a little confused on the exact "how" the betting works. I'm neither for or against it, but before anyone gets my money I need total transparency. And I should not have to call someone to find out those things.by Dick Morgan - Forum
My question on gambling that was posted February 17 - 10 months ago
1: and maybe the most important question is, how does this benefit the pullers monetarily. I'm not talking about more fan in the seats, I'm asking how does the puller make more money? And on the same vain how do the organizations make more money. 2, does gambling increase the paying fan base? 3, do I need an app to participate? 4, do I just send them my credit card info? 5, is it legalby Dick Morgan - Forum

Re: Tomah live stream - 10 months ago
I would like to reply to MG 1206, first off thank you for your response, well done. As far as hating the NTPA nothing could be farther from the truth. The NTPA is and continues to be the leader in safety and class rules. However there are things that every organization can improve in. The NTPA is no different, their process in rule making needs to be improved. It seems like sometimes they maby Dick Morgan - Forum
Re: Tomah live stream - 10 months ago
I have to agree that their results page needs an overhaul. When you are looking at live results and click on the link for completed classes it just takes you to some noninformation page. I also don't like the new results page that makes you click on the level of show you want to see. It's way to confusing.by Dick Morgan - Forum

I never understood the reason for an intermission, it's not a Broadway play. One of the problems with pulling is the length of the show and now we are going to take a 10 minutes and stop the action. Makes ne sense.by Dick Morgan - Forum

I have been watching videos from the past ( thanks Dan Mayer) and I believe that the present day sleds are the biggest improvement. The pan that drops midway down the track, the reliability, and sleds settings are drastically improvedby Dick Morgan - Forum

I can not understand why it matters at all what the tire measures Before they are cut? Shouldn't the finished tire after cutting have to meet correct specifications? Seems like this bassactwards.by Dick Morgan - Forum

One of the true gentleman of the sport has passed away. Don was a legend in the sport. Along with his son Kevin the Masterson Pro Stock tractors were always the vehicles that found their way to the winner's circle. The sport of truck and tractor pulling has lost one of the great ones. Re: Heres The Kind Of Promotion That Pulling Needs - 1 year ago
In theory this sounds great, in the real world it won't work. If a puller is in a pulloff and his class has run first then there is a strong likelihood that he will have to wait 3-5 hours for his pulloff. And the way some pulls are run the pullers will be hooking in front of empty stands.by Dick Morgan - Forum
Re: Heres The Kind Of Promotion That Pulling Needs - 1 year ago
Unfortunately without good announcing the average fan only see a tractor parade. To some fans the hooded tractors all look alike. Same track, almost the same speed going down the track and almost the same winning distance. That why it's so important to alternate classes. Run a mod class and/or a truck class. I don't understand running any look alike classes side by side. Pulling couldby Dick Morgan - Forum

How far should pullers be expected to travel? - 1 year ago
Are pulling organizations demanding to much travel from their members? With the price of fuel, time on the road and time away from work and family what is a reasonable foot print for the sport. I realize that national organizations never want to turn away a potentiby Dick Morgan - Forum
