I agree with Dick on this, everyone has watched this class lose numbers for years. When I won the 9,500 Super Stock class at Bowling Green, OH in 1995 there was 32 in the class and 11 in the pull-off. The 7,500 Super Stock class had more than that. Most of the events that year had at least 15 to 20 tractors. I do not expect us to ever see those numbers again but it has to do better than the direc

As far as Outlaws our pullers will look at this at our banquet and decide what to do. I see that NTPA has went to a restrictor plate and it will be good to see what size they come up with and work together for the future of this class for everyone. We all want the same thing, to keep these tractors on the track to give our fans a good show. Pullers are usually their worst enemy when it comes to c

Good point Adam on turbo wheels, but just too hard for tech to police. Some of these are hard to get to and with restrictor plate in shut off it is easy to make a go/no go plug and check as tech checks air shut off now before events. In the 2.6 truck class a lot of these turbos instead of being small frame turbo like our 3.0 Super Farm tractor classes they are large frame like our 4.1 turbo and u

Thanks for all the response on the Diesel Super Stock limits we are thinking about implementing in OTTPA. We do not by no means have all the answers, we just know we can’t stay on the path we are on and especially go the way NTPA has the last 5 years. Things has just really escalated these last 5 years with all the aftermarket parts coming out and instead of them fixing the problem it has enabled

This is the first part of a letter going out to Outlaw LSS Competitors, tech and board members. This part just shows how important the LSS class is to OTTPA and this class will be around for years to come. I just wanted the rest of the pulling world to see how well this class is working for Outlaws and why our promoters are wanting this class. I am proud of this class and were it has come in the

What a week of Outlaw pulling as we had 7 events in 10 days with 10 sessions of pulling. We lucked out on the weather as only part of the Weeping Water event got rained out. Great to be back in the Missouri State Fair and have such a good turnout of vehicles and fans. That show we put on this year will make a huge difference in next year’s crowd growing even more. The Missouri State Fair is also the start of the "Pull-off for the Championship" with another $250,000 in bonus money up for grabs. A lot of people including myself will not be back home until after Wisner, NE on August 20th. Let's pray for safe travels

Just crazy all this bashing on this thread. All these people posting on here had their opinion and none where negative toward any other association. There is a place for everyone to pull and I am glad the weather has cooled off and most everyone missed all the rains this weekend and got the events in. The Midwest had lots of good pulling going on this past week from many different associations. A

Have been getting some calls, text and emails on pulling order at the Missouri State Fair. Posted this back in the spring but here it is again. This is a general class hook order and estimated number of hooks, but will have to look at the numbers after entry and may move classes around from track to track and change pulling order. There is a chance we might move LPS to evening session if numbers

Attention Pullers, The Hancock County Fair in Britt, IA on Wednesday, July 28th is only taking 4 classes instead of the 5 listed. They thought they may add the 5th class but this year are going to stay with 4 classes. They are the start of a sweep and the next day we are in Dubuque, IA with 6 classes on Thursday, July 28th. We are then in Sac City, IA on Friday, July 29th with 4 classes. With tha

With the Outlaw pulling season starting tomorrow in Beggs, OK this will be the first time our schedule is 4 months long as it ends on September 24th in Brandon, SD. The part that bothers me the most about the schedule is all the miles and crazy hours we travel to these 48 different towns and cities with 62 days of pulling on the 2016 Outlaw “Thunder in the Dirt” Summer Tour. I received this on Facebook a few days ago and thought I would share this with the pulling world. Just unbelievable how social media affects the sport I love and sites like Pulloff.com educate the pulling world. So with that in mind, people need to think when they post on sites like this as a lot of young people read these sites and it has a big influence on them and our sport. This is a family s

Anything can happen in pulling and I have seen 466 beat SF, SF beat LPS and LPS beat PS. Its not going to happen often but sometimes the stars align just right with marginal track, draw number, etc. I have seen lesser tractors in the class they belong in win one every once in a while for same reason. As far as 4.1 beating our Pro Stocks it is possible with the right circumstances, but I would sur

Thanks for the interest in the tire size but that is just my opinion only and I didn’t know someone would start a thread on it. Lots of very good comments but in my years of running Outlaws I had to think a lot different from my days of competition. Back then my only concern was let me know when it is my time to hook and I need to get paid. My concern wasn’t how many people were in the stands. Wh

Thanks for the interest in this class. Very good questions! Our Pro Stock Tractor class was in trouble and seeing a decline in numbers about 10 years ago and down to only 5 or 6 pulling vehicles and promoters were starting to drop the class because of low numbers. I even dropped the number of hooks down by about 10 hooks trying to keep them on the track. That was a time when turbo were making 100

As of right now this is last event scheduled in Kemper Arena. The city still owes about 20 million in bonds on the facility since it was remodeled about 20 years ago and still has to pay that. They say it cost about 1 million a year to keep it open from personnel, security, heat & air, etc. The city says my event brings in over $300,000 to the city from rent and other fees, tourism, hotels, etc.,

To all Western Farm Show competitors that want make a test hook. Last year when we were doing test hooks we had to keep changing weights in the sled, but also had to install and take off the smoke tube more than once as different vehicles would come in and want to test hook. Well after looking things over I have one class sponsorship left for the Western Farm Show Championship Pull on Feb 25 & 26 at Kemper Arena in Kansas City. I added a class this year, had one sponsor drop out (Midwest Extreme Pull in Jefferson City) and some sponsors moved around, etc. The class sponsorship is $2500 and comes with a suite that has seating for 16 people but can have more standing.
