I have a few updates. We are not going to the Missouri State Fair and maybe a few other changes but it is about 95% complete as printed. As far as the new Light Modified Tractor class my original deal was to not have any on the Nebraska Bush dates, but it is now February and have not seen any schedule from them. Our promoters just could not wait any longer so we are just going to hook them as lis

To all WFS competitors, the packets went out last week and the mailing place that has done the Outlaw mailings for years accidentally used the wrong mailing address. They used the 2012 list. After checking off the two different list today there are about 50 contestants that did not get a packet. Mainly the LLP Tractors and D4x4 Trucks contestants as we did not offer those classes in 2012. They ar

All rumors, which is nothing new. Pulling is a small world and all three major associations are doing fine from what I can see. Room for everyone, especially all the smaller associations across the country. Where would we be without all the smaller associations. It reminds me of baseball with the players coming up from the minor to the major leagues. Most all pullers including myself started with

Our fans like all our tractor classes and none more than Nebraska fans. With LLP and SF classes I can mix them in with noise classes like 2WD and MOD and makes a great show for our fans. Not all events can afford only our top tier classes and we mix both to make it work for them financially. Never had a complaint from promoter or fans about our Super Farm of Light Limited Pro Stock class at the s

To Outlaw Junky, thanks for your input and you have some good ideas and I like people that think out of the box some. Looking at some of your other post about working with other associations that is hard to do sometimes. We do not have problem with it, but take Jefferson City pull with NTPA. We can not pull on the other track while they are pulling. We have to wait 30 minutes after they are done

To Mo fan, sorry I missed you question yesterday. I agree with you on that DSS should be at the fair . Not for sure if we will be at the Missouri State Fair this year. Had a meeting with them and put in a bid. Comes down to dollars and all classes would have been to much money, so had to leave some out. I am a big believer that everyone should get to pull at their state fair. Out of the 4 state f

466GUY, The top 5 would be the only ones running for money and will finish 1st through 5th. The rest will be working on 6th through 10th and can finish no higher than 6th. The board may think different, but that is my opinion. I am not a strong supporter of points fund to help numbers in a class. Never has worked and befits just a few that is sometimes decided before season is half over and numbe

sweetemotion, I have not but Dave Yarick with the Gone tractor rough figured the PS class yesterday and Ricky Behrendt with the Wampuscat tractor. The Gone tractor would have won the PS class by 4 points giving Wampuscat a 2 point lead before the Iowa State Fair. He did not figure if everyone dropped 2 hooks before the Iowa State Fair if they would have been 1-2 going into the sweep. The champio

Eric, My thinking is regular points if you are in the chase or not. The board might decide think otherwise or on a different amount than 2 points between each position of the top 5 in the chase when it begins. If you do not use regular points including every vehicle and just the top 5 in points they can not move much with just 1 point difference between each position. For example with 2 points be

Thanks for the question about 2WD schedule. They crowd really related to the 2WD Truck class at Sturgis last year. We also have some competitors that have both MOD Tractors and 2WD Trucks in same trailer. That will give them some time to enjoy Sturgis before heading to Deleon, TX by Thursday. The big truck pull is mainly for 4WD Trucks except for the Semi class. Like to have some noise to go with

I have been working on a new points system to decide the Outlaw points champions in 2015. Would like to have feed back on different ideas especially from the spectators point of view. I appreciate different views. Enclosed is a letter going out in a mailing to OTTPA membership. Also the latest update on events and classes. Thanks, Doug

The deal with Sturgis last year was an invitational pull with no entry fee and non points with OTTPA as the promoter. The pullers that signed up knew the deal that the gate had to pay the expenses first and then the pullers next and if extra gate they would get some fuel money on top of the purse. Didn't have enough attendance to pay all the expenses and the association lost more money than

This has been a hard year for scheduling. About every event we had from the middle of July on rolled back a week including all the state fairs. A few events did not roll and one of them was Weeping Water, NE and the other two were Sturgis, SD and Deleon, TX. They will roll a week next year and get back in line. Last year Concord, NE & Algona, IA was before Sturgis and we had till Thursday to get

Still working on classes. My friend Ricky Behrendt called and said he had some calls from Diesel Super Stock competitors why they were not on Ravenna schedule. That was my fault as the just got left off when making and coping schedule. Ravenna will have same 10 classes as last year including DSS along with new classes LLM & D4x4. There will be other changes and mistakes at other events like Woodw

Thanks Chris, you do a good job at the pull in Mound City, MO. The pull at Ravenna, NE is during the Annevar Festival and always Fathers Day weekend and this year the 3rd Sunday is as late as it can be on June 21st. Because of that we flipped Ravenna, NE with Falls City, NE & Arlington, NE dates. That will put Falls City, NE and Mound City, MO two weeks apart which will be good for both of us.

All raises in purse since that time have be through our sponsorship program. Attached is our minimum 2014 purse and our new 2015 purse that we passed out at banquet. Our goal is to have all classes at all events to new purse by 2016 season. This year

Yea that's right, nothing signed yet. Haven't sent them a contract yet. I am still old school where I take people for their word that we will work something out. My schedule is always based on 2 or 3 day events or sweeps. Our pullers travel a long way from too many different states and not going to do one day hooks. Thanks for liking the show. We have a great producer in Mike Gee and he had some good ideas and so did we. We have lots of different things to try next year and some may not work out, but our goal is not to be just another pull on TV. That is just our style, just like our pulls, fast and long and hook them quick, no screwing around. I tell our pullers at a lot of our shows, some with 120 hooks if

Been working on the Outlaw schedule putting in classes at events. What helps Outlaws is we now have 14 classes with good numbers in most and can do 2 or 3 events the same day. Most associations out west do not offer that many classes or do not have many in some of the classes like the Pro Stocks Tractors, Modified Tractors, 2WD Trucks, 4WD Trucks, Light Super Stock Tractors, Diesel Super Stocks T

This is Doug Roberts and I have no idea how some of these rumors get started, but this first time I heard of this one. LOL. If Lucas Oil is broke then we all will be in trouble in this country. If you are going to start and spread rumors I would make something a little more realistic than that. There is room and need for everyone in pulling from little associations to big ones. Merry Christmas,
