There is no advantage from a 13mm p3000 compared to a p7100 as far as hp is concerned.
Yes the p7100 has better bearings and bigger cam but both pumps cams can be ground to suit the needs.
Most all shops have their own profile they use on the cams.

There are many different options these days. Can just get a new cross shaft with needles for the gears or there are brass thrust washers that can be added or roller thrust bearings, there are billet 4 and 2 pinion complete diffs out there. Call Atlas tractor or Engler machine or any of the other guys in the business directory on here

Anyone use timing belt instead of gears for cam or fuel pump drive on a diesel? I've saw belt setups for v8s before, didn't know if anyone has tried it on a Deere or IH others.

With a drop box or reverser the engine centerline can be wherever you want it on a component. But isn't there a rule pertaining to location?

Yes, don't waste your money on an electric system.
You can get a Simpson valve and mechanical pump for close to same price. Way more simple and very reliable. I can set you up with something if your interested.

When you consider a 4020 or 1066 is 50 plus years old the young generation probably never drove one or even have one on the farm.

I agree why does everyone feel they need to change rules for there class every year or so. Always the same thing, they want bigger turbo, bigger pump, go faster.
I mean just switch to a different class that already has what you want.
I realize it's motorsports and ppl want to keep up with technology but there are classes for that already, let's make some simple rules for once.

Exactly....a tractor that's been sitting for over year, especially with today's fuel, if it doesnt start dont force it, pull pump and injectors and have them checked. Saw so many get ruined by ppl trying to pull start them or keep shooting starting fluid end up with lots more problems on your hand.
