the goal is 2 hours between sessions but that has been pushed against real hard in past years, I will say that vast improvement has been made through the years. That first year was brutal but it was the first year. A lot depends on how many drivers actually make it there, restarts of class or dual attempts by tractors and pulloffs.

I don't know about stirring, but with all the controversy of the decision, it would be interesting to know if the blocks held up any better than the others of previous years. The only way to really know is to ask and hope someone answers the question. One can only hope!

which is a good thing since they are required by one organization, it would be detrimental if another org. decided to make different requirements. For the greater good it only makes sense to use one standard on this particular item.

well I must have missed all this from saturday night, I got there friday evening talked to some folks, enjoyed the friday evening pull, it was really lite on crowd. I thought the pull went well as with most horse arenas the track was not the best for hooking. The light supers put on a good show whether it was wheels up and nuzzlin the sand or the other end with fires and wild rides. Saturday afte

go to the yt site and go to the oliver forum and ask for shepva, he has already put one in a 1650 and the pics on his site (which is no longer available) show a fairly intense project. I remember that the motor mounts have to be cut out and the oil pan slot in the tub has to be enlarged. One other thing if memory serves was that he specifically said the motor from a truck was significantly more e

If that is your class I understand your disappointment, but don't blame the promoters for not having the class. It is my understanding that they only recieved two applications last year, hence no class. I would guess this played into the decision to not offer pro stock this year. I think they even eliminated the hvy dsl super class. Have to look again to make sure, I hope they get enough tra

tyler, you need to find some way to get the old pulling power magazines, these had several articles regarding what was required to make a super stock tick. Beings as your an Ulmer someone in your family probably has these magazines in their possession. I think "Pulling Power" mag was published by Lopez publishing out of California. One other suggestion is diesel power mag they have done a lot rec

yeah super stock tractors and mods that was all there was and it wasn't that bad, i am sure a lot of folks like the trucks, see it every week but for a one night one time hook a class of fwd dsl trucks will be a good addition.

still the sorriest coverage of a live event, I can ever remember, the actual pulling wasn't bad just the seemingly ineptness of the coverage. I even liked Dusty Rhodes as a wrestler, but as a pull commentator"ugh". My largest memory of the whole event was the total disinterest that Rodalyn Knox gave Steve Evans after the crash. I plainly heard the background noise and then the look of worry

His last dsl super went to Mike Happe and is now an alkie, he currently has one alky for sale and I wouldn't dare doubt that two couldn't be bought. As for dsl, his llss is still on dsl and it has been advertised for sale. I think Brandon his son has been doing the driving on it this year. I am almost certain that the llss is his old super when he was running for ATPA ga points.

Hey Bundy, how much do you consider for a good deal, that was .65 cents for each hook. I don't find that terrible; not as good as it could be; but also not as bad as it can get either. Some nights aren't as good as others.

As far as competitive dsl oliver, maybe in the light class several years back, Driessen's, Dachel and down here Noblett and Fox were strong in the 55 but in the hvy classes and any thing in the last 10 years not so much. Cubes for the waukeshau are the downfall and the hercules might hold up in a light super. Personally, I don't see anyway to make the cat reliable and a front runner in

Hate to hear of things like this, but when are we going to demand that the only people getting paid do their job. The sled operator has the ability to prevent some of these things; personally I have avoided having this happen because the sled operator did his job. Some accidents are unavoidable but it is a group effort to keep them from happening. Good luck to everyone and maybe this is a lesson
